The day was young and the weather bright! Well, acceptable at any rate when you considered that the summer could get incredibly hot and humid. Such combinations weren't terribly kind to a girl who had grown up in northern Europe, so cooler weather was a godsend. Girls were just beginning to go about their morning routines or even just waking up if they had managed to sleep in a bit. One of those who was up and about already was Himeko Wittelsbach, bundled up a little due to a breeze accompanying the morning's coolness. While she might have otherwise been headed to the music building to rehearse today was a bit of a different start for the not-quite-princess-of-sorts.
Today she was near the school entrance, gazing up at the bulletin board with large inquisitive eyes. Despite her uniform and light sweater she might have been some kind of adventurer consulting ancient writing painted on the wall before her. Looking for some kind of clue as to where a buried treasure was to be found. Rather than an ancient treasure, though, Himeko was searching the board for something entirely more mundane. She'd somehow managed to get this far without joining a club in any kind of formal capacity. Now she was feeling a bit lonely since her days had begun to consist of study, class, rehearsal and sleep with sporadic eating interspersed in between. Honestly she couldn't say that she had made all that many friends this year and that was something that she wanted desperately to change.
The problem was she had no idea what club she ought to join. She didn't know if she would be any use for a music-based club since she tended to be over critical when it came to singing (especially her own). Most likely girls that came together to share their loves in music wouldn't appreciate her analysis of that music. So what else was there? Art seemed fun but she wasn't terribly artistic apart from a few small sewing projects that she'd done, like a new jacket for Otto von Bearsmarck (her chancellor and stuffed animal all in one). Maybe sports? Granted she wasn't athletic at all but it might be good for her to get more focused exercise along with some fun girls; at least she thought they'd be fun, since she always saw the girls in those clubs smiling and laughing.
"Why does this have to be such a conundrum?!" she asked pleadingly to the overcast skies above, unaware that someone may well be watching her.
