Space... The Final Frontier These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise Its continuing mission... Ayaka Inada Fifteen · Female · Japanese · Writing - Hair: Short, pink, and not reaching much past her neck (mostly because she just doesn't want to deal with it), Ayaka's hair is a bit of a mess. This is mostly due to the fact that she just doesn't really care about how it looks and mostly just makes sure it doesn't look too ridiculous. She just doesn't care enough about her appearance to deal with any errant cowlicks or bedhead. As long as its out of her face and she's not going to get laughed at too much, she's good.
- Eyes: A darker shade of pink than her hair, but still pink. She rather likes the fact that her hair and eyes match.
- Face: Her facial features are rather androgynous, not particularly masculine or feminine. In terms of shape, her face is slightly oval, taller than wide. She's also rather pale, being that she tends to be a bit of a shut in.
- Body: Ayaka's rather short, standing only 4 feet 10 inches (147 cm) tall. She's also on the slimmer side. Not unhealthily slim, mind you, just naturally slender. And she doesn't exactly have a lot in the the way of musculature. She's a writer, not an athlete.
- Clothing: Casual. Casual, casual, casual. As long as its comfortable and doesn't look TOO stupid, she'll be fine. Honestly, she's likely as not to stay in her pajamas all day, even if she does need to go out to do something. She doesn't really have a style beyond 'nerdy and comfortable,' and that means a lot of somewhat baggy or loose clothes. Shoes? Sneakers, or if she must be more formal, FLATS, heels are by definition uncomfortable.
appearance - General: If you want a good summary of Ayaka, it can be given in two words: Excitable Trekkie. She's generally rather hyperactive, which can lead some to thinking she's had too much coffee - for the record, she doesn't drink it. She talks a mile and a half a minute, which then approaches warp speed if she's especially excited or enthusiastic about something... usually Star Trek. On top of her very fast speech, she also has a tendency to bounce from subject to subject without much warning, usually winding up on the subject of Star Trek. Her attention span for things she isn't highly passionate about is rather limited. As a result, she can come across as a bit scatterbrained, which, to be honest, she is a bit anyway. She does, in fact, often forget about work for classes that aren't for her writing. Or other things she's told people she'll do. Or basic self-care activities. She's also somewhat touchy feely, so her friends shouldn't be surprised if they get randomly glomped or if she otherwise invades personal space. Speaking of friends, she really does want to make friends, though due to all of the aforementioned things, she tends to come on a little strongly when first meeting her.

personality - History: Hailing from a small, traditional, conservative town in Yamagata prefecture, Ayaka is an only child. It was something of a scandal when Kiyoko Inada reappeared in the town six months pregnant, no husband or fiance in tow. Ayaka's mother never said who the father was, and stayed in town for only a year and a half before signing over her parental rights to her brother and sister-in-law and disappearing back to Tokyo, sparking an even bigger scandal in the process. While the scandal faded as Aya's aunt and uncle raised her mostly to the expected standards, she remained a piece of gossip in the town, usually when there was nothing else major to talk about. The net result was that while Ayaka was never outright barred from anything, she was somewhat unofficially shunned by a fair amount of the town and had only a small handful of friends. As such, Aya spent a fair amount of time at home without much to entertain her, which lead to her discovering her talent for writing, as well as her obsession with an American sci-fi show. The writing started out of a fit of boredom, when both her aunt and her uncle were working and needed quiet in the house – by the time they were done working, Ayaka had written a four page story and was quite happily tweaking it. The obsession with Star Trek came about when a rerun episode came on the TV while she was reading. The book was put aside in minutes and was wrapped up in the adventures of the starship Enterprise. Over the next year, Aya put her aunt and uncle's Netflix account to good use, blitzing her way through just about every episode of each series. In amidst this binge watching, she started writing fan fiction, combining her two biggest passions. Her work became fairly expansive, with three whole folders of just fan fiction on her aging laptop – next to the two folders full of original work. She heard about Fukui from her literature teacher in middle school, who gave her a pamphlet about the school. Ayaka wasn't sure about it at first, but applied after her aunt and uncle told her she should – though in part their motivation was to remove Aya from the town and get her to a place where she wouldn't be a subject of gossip. Being that she only had a small number of friends, the excitement of going to a school where she wouldn't get told off for writing in class and being somewhere new meant that she wasn't too sad about leaving – though she would miss her friends. And in any case, she figured she'd probably make some new friends at Fukui, but if not, she was used to keeping herself entertained.
