Since Mako liked to be alone she would usually wait for other students to clear out of the music building before going to practice. Mostly to be alone, and the fact she didn't feel like having to deal with others asking what she was listing to or singing. Since most of the stuff she listens to and sings is in English. She found out quick that most people are curious to another language. Which is understandable. But it such a pain to be interrupted so much because she listed to different things and could sing in a different language. It was more of a pain than anything to her when all she wanted to do was practice and relax to her own choices of music. As she entered one of the empty rooms, she set her guitar to the side for now as she just felt like hanging around at the moment and listen to some music instead of play. As she walked over to a chair, she plopped herself down lazily and took out her phone. As she started to scroll through her music app and YouTube for something to listen to. As she did so, she could hear other students practicing their own music. Which wasn't bad at all. This was the only area where Mako was semi nice. Music. It revolved around her life now, not only cause of this school. But also cause of her father, it was the only connection she had to him while he was away. The music her father showed her was amazing. She enjoyed the music of his country sure. But there was just something mystical about the music of her father's country that always absorbed her. Maybe it was the voices of the American people that sounded amazing when sung, or the beats they came up with. She didn't know, nor did she question it. She loved it, end of story. As she swiped away on her phone until she came across one of her favorite bands. Paramore. They were by no means what Mako strived for in music. She wanted to be a post hardcore singer or guitarist. But there was something about Hayley Williams' voice that always sucked Mako in. The tone of her voice, the melody, just everything sounded so amazing. As she clicked on the song Misery Business as she had brought her speaker to make it sound better than a phone speaker. As the music started to play through the speaker her foot started to tap along with the beat of the music and her head started to bob, making her hair flow with every movement. As she started to sing along to it. Her voice not similar at all, so the difference was obvious. But she was by no means a horrible singer. As the song continued her voice carrying into the emptiness of the room, echoing a little bit here and there when she would hit her high notes. She was thankful that she could speak English really well because if she didn't she would be botching the pronunciations of all the words in the song. As Mako continued on, she must have forgotten to slide the door all the way shut as some of the music and her singing were escaping into the hallway. She is usually pretty good about making sure it was shut all the way, to make sure she is interrupted because of her music choices and so people wouldn't complain. Ellie-Rose

Quietly, Ellie patters down the hallways of the music building. She's being very careful about the amount of noise she makes as does so. She doesn't want to disturb any of the various students practicing their respective arts, after all. Especially since she's wanting to listen in on their sessions. And if she were to make her presence blatantly known, well, that'd interrupt their practice. Might throw them off, or affect their performance negatively. And that wouldn't do! Wouldn't do at all!
Now, she's not a music student, so there's no real reason for her to be here. At least, that's what it seems. But Ellie's a writer, and writers draw inspiration from all kind of places. Two of the areas that Ellie draws her inspiration from is through music and hard work. And what better place to find both of those qualities than at a practice hall for musicians? And wouldn't you know, this school has an entire building dedicated to this single purpose!
So she's taken to walking through the music building and pausing outside of rooms to listen to the music coming from within. She's found herself drawn to several different students, with their varied playing styles and instruments. Usually their music sparks some kind of scene into her head, helping to break the block that's formed. Sadly, it seems that those particular students aren't playing today. Sighing in frustration, for she's still at a loss on how to proceed in her current story, she wanders the hallways.
There's plenty of students playing today. It just doesn't seem like any of them are the catalyst she needs. Tapping her pencil against her chin, she gives a soft huff of annoyance. It seems her fool proof method isn't as fool proof as she'd thought!
Taking a turn, she finds herself walking down a part of the music building she doesn't visit as often. Most students prefer the renovated parts of the building and avoid the older sections. So there's rarely folks who practice here. But even as she hesitates, music reaches her ears. It's fast paced, upbeat, and the voice of the singer is distinct. And familiar. Though the voice accompanying the song is not one she's heard before.
Frowning in thought, Ellie finds her feet drawn towards a classroom. The door is cracked ever so slightly and the blonde doesn't even pause. Peering inside, she spots the form a girl. She's tall, with striking maroon hair and a lean, athletic form. She sings along with the song, her voice strong and distinct, yet somehow not clashing with the song.
Now that she's closer, and able to hear the lyrics, she recognizes the song. It's hard to mistake the sound of Paramore for anything else. Maybe some of Flyleaf's music, but that's about it as far as she can think up. Nodding her head to the beat, she lifts her notebook and starts scribbling down the ideas as they came. This girl's good! she thinks appreciatively. Her hair, tied up in a loose French braid, bobs in time to her nodding. Feet tapping to the tune, she gets so caught up in the music that she begins to hum along with the song, her alto tones carrying easily through the cracked door and into the room.

Mako kept going along to the song, singing perfectly, each word sung to perfection in her mind. Not missing a single beat of the drums with her foot tapping. Her head swaying to the rhythm of the pop punk song. Her music taste being one of the many things she was proud of. As she didn't follow the norm of most people her age liking idol groups or something. But instead being pretty weird with her taste in music. Going from American metal, to pop punk, to a lot of Japanese metal bands. Not a single sent of pop or anything similar in her taste towards music as she thought they were more or less boring to listen to. With rock or metal, you could express yourself so much more. Through singing or playing the instrument. You in a bad mood? rock out on the guitar shredding chords. In a melancholy mood. Sing a more depressing song with somber tones.
There were infinite possibilities with rock and metal to explore any type of mood you were in. That was what Mako thought when she first heard the sounds of metal and rock flow into her head when she was little. And why she chose to try and pursue a career in music instead of sports. She was built for sports, that was easily seen by her lean but tone build. Her legs and arms toned with muscle, her shoulders wider than most, her abs toned enough to make her have some curves. Yet she through that away for music. Which is the only thing that brings her joy.
As the song ended she grabbed her phone and opened her eyes, scanning the old room. Her eyes could be seen to have a certain coldness to them. Almost like they were a muted blue, like being dead. As she looked around, she thought she had heard another voice. Maybe it was her imagination? Or a ghost come to take her life. "tsk" as her tongue clicked the roof of her mouth, as her focus was drawn away from her phone as the next song on her playlist started to play, another Paramore song. Which she didn't mind but she was going to turn off and pick up her guitar to practice a little bit. As her finger went to go hit the pause button, she stopped just before. As she thought it would be a good chance to see if there was ghost or someone was watching her. As she got up from her chair and placed the phone on the chair. As she started to walk around the room trying to listen for the voice she thought she heard. Which if she heard correctly sounded like humming instead of singing or anything else.
As she looked everywhere inside the room she looked towards the door seeing it cracked just a bit. As she clicked her tongue in annoyance. Her icy blue eyes staring at the crack in the door. As she started to walk towards the door, every step getting more and more heavy, louder and louder until she finally reached to the door. Reaching her hand out and grabbing the door and sliding in violently open. Having a rush of air following the door, enough to move Mako's bangs just a bit until they settled back into their position. As she peered out into the hallway. As she saw a figure and her eye instantly started to twitch in annoyance.

Oh man, this song's perfect for this scene! Scribbling away at her notepad, Ellie leans sideways against the frame of the door. She's caught up in her writings, the need to get the ideas down before she forgets them an overwhelming urge that she can't ignore. So focused is she on her task, that she doesn't notice right away when the music stops. Okay, now for this part here... A new song comes on and the shift in tempo catches her attention briefly, but only in how it effects the scene as it plays out in her mind. Frowning slightly, she pauses in her writing and switches her humming to match the new song as she ponders the path the story has started down.
"Okay, so maybe it'll go like this instead?" she breaks into her own humming to mutter to herself. Bending forward slightly, she brings the notepad a little close to her face and scans over what she's written so far. Her self-rambling is interrupted, though, when she hears increasingly heavy footsteps thump out over the music coming from the room. This is when she realizes that she's not checked in on the unknown girl since she started writing. And that she hasn't heard the singing of the unknown girl for a while, either. Even as the thought crosses her mind, the door is suddenly yanked out from under her!
Gasping, she starts to fall into the room. Trying to catch her balance, Ellie manages to spin around so that she's at least falling forward. Dropping her notepad and pencil, she reaches out to the nearest thing to her, in the hopes of stopping herself from hitting the floor. Hands shooting out blindly, she finds them gripping some sort of cloth, before her face smacks right into... something. Something firm, yet giving? And it moves? Oh no... she thinks as she realizes exactly what, or should she say who, she's fallen into. The person she'd been trying not to intrude on, is now, without a doubt, aware of her presence. Darn it all!
Holding very still for a moment, Ellie finds herself in a rather awkward position. It seems she'd managed to grab the girl around her waist area, and her face had fallen into the other's stomach region. Her legs are bent at the knees, and she's still leaning quite heavily against the unknown girl. Luckily the school uniform skirt she's wearing isn't too short, or she'd be flashing anyone in the hallway her panties! Pulling slightly away, she peers up at the redhead towering over her. Dang she's tall! she can't help but think in awe.
Golden strands of her hair, freed from their binding by the impact, float about her a face. Pale greens gazing up at her impromptu savior, Ellie gives a sheepish smile. Voice soft and apologetic, she says,
"Ah, sorry..."

As Mako went towards the door, the sounds of humming came more and more prevalent, which pretty much meant that someone was watching. She really didn't care, but since she could hear them It was quite distracting. As her hand reached out and and yanked the door open. When that happened, the figure she had saw was now falling into the room. Who leans up against the door? she thought as she watched in the slow motion the person start to fall. Mako debated just stepping back and watching them fall to get a chuckle out of it. But she didn't for some reason. As the figure swung around and launched their arms forward to catch onto something. And the only thing to catch onto was Mako.
As the girl slammed into Mako, she put one of her feet back transferring most of her weight to the back of her body so she wouldn't fall also. As the girl finally slumped into her stomach area as Mako's arms out of reflex went around the girl to make sure she didn't fall the rest of the way. But also in case they both fell Mako would take the brunt of the force. Wait why did she just try to help this girl? She never would have before. So why. Maybe trying to make a good impression on the people of this school? Mako sure as hell didn't know. But she did there was no getting around it. As she looked down at the figure that had her arms wrapped around her waist, and Mako's around her back. Looking at the, the long blonde hair and green eyes staring up at Mako as she apologized. Mako looked at her with a bit of a smug smile, almost saying why are you here.
As Mako opened up her mouth to talk. "You know, a date and dinner would have been nice first before this. But I don't mind skipping all that." she said in English as the girl in her arms looked a lot more like her father than anything else and just opted to speak English with her. At the same time, Mako lifted the girl up to her feet and retracted her arms. As she looked the girl over for a second. "hmm, you sure are damn cute." she said to herself without realizing. Why was it that anytime Mako thought a girl was really cute she would say it out loud to herself, like she was announcing it. As her blue eyes just stared at the blonde, looking at her up and down before lingering on her green eyes.

Ellie had felt the other girl shift back and her arms wrap around her back when she'd fallen into her. It's surprising, how steady and firm the other girl is when she catches her. She's glad that she didn't knock her down! She's about to tack on a thank you after her apology, but then the taller girl looks down at her and directs a rather smug looking smile her way. A bit thrown off by it, Ellie's about to ask what she's smiling about, when those rather flirtatious words are spoken. Eyes widening, a fierce blush spreads across her cheeks. "<W-what?>" she stutters out, completely blindsided by the statement. She's so surprised by the words that she slips back into her native tongue, her southern drawl coming out in it's full force.
Suddenly, she's being levered back up to her feet. Freed from the other's arms, she backs up a bit, out of easy arm's reach of the other girl. Shooting a suspicious glare at the redhead standing before her, she self consciously straightens her slightly rumpled uniform as the other girl keeps staring at her. What's she lookin' at? she wonders nervously. She's feeling rather uncomfortable under such intense scrutiny. With her left hand, she begins to fiddle with the ends of her braid, which had fallen over her right shoulder in the fall. This girl's a bit of and odd one, ain't she?, she thinks, as she too looks over the other girl in a quick glace. Then the redhead calls her cute! Blush rising to her ears, she takes an involuntary step back. Never has she experienced such out-right bluntness in the face of giving compliments. Especially when it seems to be coming from out of nowhere! Is she hittin' on me??, she wonders in confusion and slight alarm. This is something that is out of her realm of experience, and she's not quite sure how to respond. Floundering for a reply, she decides to opt for where she'd started off of. Clearing her throat, she composes herself. Crossing her arms in front of her chest, she raises her chin and looks the other girl directly in the eyes. Eyes that, despite their bright blue, seem rather dark. In spite of the red still staining her cheeks, she says, her voice firm and clear, "<As I was sayin', thank you for catchin' me. That woulda been a pretty painful fall if'n you hadn't.>" Pausing, she glances down towards her notebook, before returning her attention back to the other girl. "<But yeah, sorry for interuptin' your practice. I hadn't meant to,>" she says, her tone apologetic. Even as she remains wary.

Mako looked at the girl as her face instantly became red from her remarks, as Mako just kept her eyes trained on the blonde. As even her blushing face made Mako even more interested in this girl in her arms. It was quite odd. But Mako was interested in wondering why she said that. It wasn't like everyday someone fell into her arms and just said those words. Maybe it was mostly to mess with her. A little payback for interrupting her? No that wasn't it. Maybe it was just because she found this girl rather pretty. Most likely that was the cause of her to spout out those flirtatious words.
When the girl was finally back on her feet she went to say something as Mako just looked at her, a hand on her hip as she repositioned herself. When she started to talk Mako just looked at her. Wow her accent is amazing hot. She thought to herself. Her father didn't have much of an accent, probably because he was from the New England area and not many Americans have that bad of an accent. But this girl in front of her had such and amazing accent that Mako didn't even notice was she said. She was more less focusing on the way she spoke.
When she finished speaking, Mako took a giant step closer, reaching her hand up to her chin and lightly holding it making it the girl tilt her head up to look into her cold blue eyes. "Your accent is so sexy, you in general are." she said in a much more flirtatious tone as she just kept looking into her green eyes. Mako was weird for sure, but she thought the weirdest thing about her was her attraction to foreign girls.
After finding out she was more attracted to women than men she used to read random fashion magazines and watch music videos of other rock bands with female leads. And every time found foreign girls much more appealing to her than that of the Japanese women she saw everyday. Probably because there wasn't that many around. But either way, right now there was one in front of her, and she was determined to flirt with her no matter what. Maybe even see if she could ask her out.
As she leaned down closer and closer to the blonde's face before going to the side next to one of ears. "You could stay, I don't mind. You just have to let me take you out if you do stay. After all I find you sooooo attractive." she whispered into her ear.

Despite being wary of the other girl, the giant step forward is unexpected. All of a sudden, the redhead is right up in her personal space. With a touch that's light, but firm, the other girl lifts Ellie's chin, tilting her head up so that their eyes meet. Pale greens, wide in surprise, stare into cool blues. What in the world?!, she thinks in befuddlement. Then the other girl leans down, their faces much closer than she likes, and whispers those words into her ears. Ellie can't help the small shiver that takes hold of her, for the breath tickles her ear. Goosebumps rise up on her arms, even as her blush, which had diminished a bit, once again rekindles on her face. Yep! She's definitely hittin' on me! she thinks in both exasperation and embarrassment. This situation is a rather foreign one to her, but she does know that she doesn't like the other girl's approach. So, she jerks her head back, freeing herself from the redhead's hand, and ducks around the other girl. Unfortunately, this move takes her away from the entrance of the room, placing her farther into it. Making sure that the distance from the other girl is twice as far as she'd been before, she places both of her hands on her hips and leans forward slightly. Her stance is wide, her head raised and stare stern.
Scowling at the other girl, she says, her tone very unapproving, "<First off, I don't like the way you just come in at me, like I'm some kind of prize. Second off, I ain't given you permission to touch me, so don't!>" Raising her hand as she speaks, she shows the number of fingers as she lists off her grievances. "<Thirdly, we only just met, and you're hittin' on me? We don't even know each other's names, much less anythin' else about each other! Why in the world would you think that kind of approach would work? And lastly...>" Here, she straightens up and crosses her arms, her stance shifting to one of outright irritation, "<... is this really how you treat folks you just met? 'Cause if so, I don't see you makin' all that many friends 'round here! It's down right rude!>"
Usually, Ellie's pretty laid back. It generally takes a lot to get her riled up. Unless some of her buttons have been pressed just right. And this stranger before her has manged to do exactly that. Pale greens blazing with her indignation, she refuses to look away from the ruffian standing before her.

Mako felt the girl slip free from her grip and make her way further into the room as her eyebrow rose as this girl peeked her interest even more. One being that her flustered face was kinda cute and another she had some spice to her with the angered face she was making. As she started to spout out four things that made her gears turn. As Mako listened to her speak, she just put a hand on her hip listing to her name the reasons.
When she finished, Mako just looked at her with a bit of smug smile. As she just shrugged. As she strolled past the girl glancing at her as she passed her, her icy blue eyes peering at the poor girl that managed to interrupt her. "I didn't come to this school to make friends. So there's your answer to the last reason." she said as he made it to her guitar and brought it up on one of the tables clicking the locks and opening it. "I came here to graduate and work on improving. So I don't need friends." she scoffed as she closed her guitar case. Still glaring at the girl. "As for what I did just now." she paused as she rested her arms on the case and then placing her head on her hands. "I find you attractive so. So why wouldn't you be a prize, most people would be lucky to have you." she said with a bit of a seductive tone. As she just stared at the poor blonde.
"And lastly, I don't care if I am rude, just who I am." she chuckled through her teeth as she just looked at the girl up and down once more before shrugging. "Too bad though, I like that fiery spirit you got. Makes me want you even more. Too bad, I was looking to make that cute face even more red" she said to herself as she just shrugged and walked over to the chair she was sitting in and plopped herself down.
As she tilted her head back to look at the girl once more. "The door is there so if you want to leave, go for it." she said before she picked up her phone and started to scroll through it once more, looking at random stuff.

That smug smile graces the other's face once again. All it does to Ellie is stoke the fires of her irritation even further. Who does this girl think she is? she wonders in vexation. Ellie can't help but roll her eyes when the other girl says that she didn't come to the school to make friends, and in fact doesn't need them. She bites back a retort even as the redhead brushes past her and opens up a guitar case. Pale greens tracking the other girl's movements, Ellie finds them drawn to the guitar inside of the case. Ah, so she is a music student after all. She'd been wondering if that was even the case. At this point, it's kind of hard to tell. Since the other girl is being so contrary, it could have been that she was here for other reasons outside of music practice. But no, it seems that she is indeed here for that reason. Though Ellie's not sure why the guitar is here at all, since it seems like the redhead is more inclined to singing.
Then the line about being attractive comes up. At this point, though, she's so annoyed by the other girl's antics that she's unable to appreciate the fact that she was called attractive. Instead, she drops her hands to her hips, a frown tilting her lips down.
"<Well, just 'cause you think I'm attractive don't mean that I'm a prize!>" Tossing her braid back behind her shoulder, she walks over to where her notebook had fallen. Leaning down, she picks it up, and glances around for her pencil. As she does this, she continues talking.
"<And luck don't got nothin' to do with it... >" Spotting her pencil, which has rolled underneath one of the chairs placed around the room, she squats down to pick it up. "<If'n I find someone attractive, and they feel the same way 'bout me, then we'll discuss it like civilized folk. Come to some sort of understandin' and proceed from there.>" Rising up, she turns back to face the other girl, who has now once again taken a seat.
"<Relationships are built on the foundation of mutual trust and respect. And I don't just mean romantic ones.>" Shaking her head, she points her newly recovered pencil at the other girl. "<The fact that you're not lookin' for friendship will get in the way of your romantic desires. Mark my words, you ain't gonna win over many hearts with your current attitude. Especially with your whole "this is the way I am, like it or leave it" mentality.>"
A small smile takes hold of her, this one just a tad bit smug. "<If you ain't lookin' for friends, 'cause you don't need 'em, then I s'pose you don't need a romantic partner either. Since most of those are built up from friendships.>" Her motions and smile are not seen, though, as the other girl seems preoccupied with her phone.
Sighing in exasperation, Ellie shrugs. You just can't talk sense into some folks, she thinks despondently. Glancing down at her notebook, she sighs. "<Well, at least not all of this was a bust,>" she mutters to herself. She did manage to overcome her writing block, but now she's not really in the mood to write anymore.
Returning her attention back to the other girl, she can only shake her head when she's told to leave if she wants. "<All right then, I s'pose I ought to be leavin' you now.>" Heading back towards the door, she glances over to the guitar sitting on the table in it's case. Free hand raising, she rests it against the door frame and pauses. Curiosity getting the better of her, she can't help but to ask,
"<Why do you even have a guitar here, if you're not even gonna practice on it?>"

Mako was searching her phone again for something she had heard about the other day while the girl behind her started to go off on a rant. Mako has heard all of these lines before so it was kinda just like any other day for her. Even though she was surprised it was coming from someone not from Japan but a foreigner. Usually she was getting the whole rant from another person that was from Japan but it was kinda curious why she valued so much respect over anything else. She just kinda shrugged everything the girl behind her said away. When the girl from further away spoke out saying if she had the guitar here why wasn't she practicing with it. As Mako looked back towards her. Her icy glare intensified a bit at her comment. "heeh. I just got here, so I wanted to hang out for a bit before I started really practicing." she said back to her as she got up from her seat and walked over to her guitar, clicking the locks open and taking out the guitar. "But since you are truly curious, you get a personal show." she said as she just glared right at the poor girl. As she walked back over to the chair turning it around towards the girl as she plucked a couple strings to make sure the things tuned correctly. As the maroon haired girl started to play, all of sudden the tension filling the air vanished, the negative energy fading away, being replaced by a fire of intense emotion as Mako started to pluck the strings. Her usual cold face being replaced by a slight smile and as her eyes closed and her head started to weave to the beat she was producing. If this girl in front of her listened to music the way she spoke earlier from the heart, then she would be transported to the world Mako was creating with the sounds that echoed through the room. Despite Mako's short comings on her personality, her music spoke to people, it made them forget about everything...even if it was just for moment and be transported to her world. Showing them what she wanted, taking them where they wanted. The music that was filling the air was truly Mako's world that she was showing off. She had the ability to do so. And it didn't come naturally she had to work for every bit of it. As Mako finished she looked up at the girl with a slight smile as her icy blue eyes looked at her green ones. As a couple beats of sweat trailed down her forehead. As she set the guitar down on the table next to her she just looked at the girl. Mako looked a bit cocky as she was proud of herself for how much work she has put in over the years to perfect her playing, if only she could do that with singing. Notes: Song

Ellie tilts her head slightly to the right, her left hand rising to her chin in thought. So, she was hangin' around a bit, before really startin' her practice? She gets that much, at least. Sometimes, you just wanna do something different from your actual craft. Or, at the least, do something that eases yourself into your practice, instead of jumping right in. But, if singin' ain't the actual practice, then... Just as the thought comes to her, the other girl stands up and heads over to her guitar. The redhead snaps open the case and takes out a guitar with an ease and fluidity that speaks of familiarity. Ellie's eyes track the other's movements as she once again returns to her chair. She raises an eyebrow at the personal show bit. Seems like she's motivated by criticism? she thinks in slight amusement, even as she returns the other girl's glare with an even expression of her own.
There's a pause, and then the other girl strums the strings of the guitar. The tension bleeds out of the redhead's body, her posture falling into a relaxed state. And then she begins to play. It's immediately apparent to Ellie that this is what the other girl is here for. Not her singing. The emotion behind it, and the skill of the redhead's fingers flying across the strings, are undeniable. Ellie finds herself feeling a begrudging respect bud in her. Not for the other girl, personally, but for the obvious effort she's put in to get this good. She's worked hard to get to this level, she thinks, even as she continues to observe the guitarist.
A smile tilts the other girl's lips up. Odd, in the fact that it's the first smile Ellie's seen her give that isn't a smirk. Her eyes, usually sharp and mean looking, have fallen closed. This gives the other's face a softer look. She bobs her head to the music as she plays, her whole body bending to the sound. It's clear that she's lost in the creation. So this is her passion, Ellie silently makes note to herself.
Ellie finds herself drawn into the music as well, though not as deeply as the other girl. It's upbeat, yet laid back. Rather catchy. She finds herself nodding along with ease. But all too soon, the song ends and the cocky attitude returns. Ah, and she looked so good when she was smiling like that, Ellie shakes her head regretfully. Ah well, she gives a mental shrug. Raising her left hand, she begins to twirl some of her hair. Giving a small smile, she nods at her fellow student.
"<All right, that wasn't half bad. I'll give you that. You definitely know what you're doin' with that there guitar.>"
This is as much of a compliment she's able to muster, though. It's still rather difficult to discard how the other girl had been treating her only a moment ago.

Mako looked at the blonde as she said it wasn't half bad. She just looked at her with her eyebrow twitching a bit from what she said. Praise me damnit. I am better than most. she thought to herself. As she looked at her, more like glared at her. "Heh. I will make say my playing is the best. So sit down, you will be here awhile. Plus it should give you some shit to write about." she said referring to her note pad and pen she had with her. Granted Mako didn't know what she was doing with said notepad and pen. But she figured it was either writing music or taking notes on something so. And before the girl could even refuse Mako started to play again. Mako didn't care if she wasn't the best singer or anything. All she cared about was being the guitarist she could be. So in other words she wanted to be the best there was around. And to do that she had to practice as much as she could every second of the day. And so she did. This song she was playing was a reflection of that. If this girl in front of her truly listened to music let the music take her over, she see glimpses of Mako as younger girl staying awake in the late hours of night just practicing and practicing. She would see why she has such a passion for music, her growing up with her father, showing Mako how to play the basics, she would see all sorts of things from Mako's past. Or the girl would have memories of her past. Mako made this song to envoke a emotion to remember the past either good or bad and turn it into something amazing. She turned her bullying and her father and mother getting a divorce into a song where all the bad memories faded away into something that bloomed. Again, all the frustration, negative energy inside Mako vanished, and was replaced by an overwhelming light. That light being just being free and able to play the guitar and make music. Even from just a glance anyone could tell this where Mako felt the most happy. Having everything vanish to just be her and her guitar. If this didn't make the girl say something better than half bad, she might as well bring out her other guitar and play that one song that gets everyone. As once she finished she just leaned on the guitar looking at the girl. Smiling at her, not a smirk just a genuine smile. Yet her eyes still had the icy feel to them. As she just waited for a response. Notes: song

Ellie's able to hold in her laughter, but just barely. The look on the other girl's face is very amusing. Especially the eyebrow twitching. She's not at all fazed by the other's glare. She's dealt with worse in her lifetime. Instead, she raises an eyebrow, her own lips quirking up into a self satisfied smile. She's actually getting kind of a kick out of messing with this girl.
"<The best, you say?>" she asks, dropping the hand twirling her hair. Placing the hand on her hip, she tosses her head back, her braid bouncing at the motion. "<Okay, I'll listen,>" she manages to get out before the other girl starts playing. Shrugging, Ellie moves over to a nearby chair and sits down in it. Flipping her notebook back to the page she'd been working on previously, she pauses to let the music seep into her. She needs to get into the mood, after all. And music is a great way to do so. But first, she needs to feel out the emotion the music is trying to portray. And if that emotion works with the scene she's trying to build or not.
So, tilting her head back slightly, Ellie closes her eyes and concentrates on the music. This tune has an energetic, but nostalgic feel to it, she muses silently to herself. Like a good memory, or a happy emotion. But it's tinged with a bit of sadness? Or maybe just wistfulness? Definitely something happening in the past... Ideas rising within her, she opens her eyes. Leaning forward, she places the pencil to her notebook and starts writing. Once the first words have been written, she stops paying attention to the other girl. Her concentration focuses solely on the images in her mind flowing onto the paper before her. And the song that carries them along.
Her intense writing session ends, though, when the song does. Blinking slowly as she rises out of her writing stupor, she lifts her head and turns her eyes to the redhead sitting across from her. Straightening in her chair, she reluctantly closes her notebook. Pale greens meeting light blues, she returns the other girl's smile with a genuine one of her own.
"<All right, you're good,>" she concedes, her voice filled with grudging admiration. "<The emotion you give your music feels quite real. It's easy to get lost in it. Perfect to write to.>"
