An all-girls school that is located in Fukui, Japan. Named after it's famous location, Fukui Academy is a school well known for turning young and talented female artists into prodigies and lovely young women. Upon applying applicants must choose an artistic medium to focus on during their time at the school. Fukui offers many options such as traditional art, digital art, music, voice, theater and acting, culinary, and more. Classes such as English, History, and Math are also provided as to give the girls a well-rounded education. However, you may not major in those categories. Students who may not be able to afford this prestigious school can receive scholarships to attend if they really have a talent and a desire to attend. Transfer students are also accepted.
If you are creating a student and want them to have a very specific major, you may message me and ask me before creating your app. It might save you some time before you plan your entire character around something the school may not provide.

Am I allowed to roleplay graphic scenes {violence, sex, rape etc...} if it's in a thread only between me and one other?
Absolutely not! Just because the thread is only between you two does not mean no one else can see it. It is public and WILL be deleted as soon as admins come upon it. After 3 warnings, you may be banned. Take it off-site or over IM if you must.
These topics being roleplayed over PM is also forbidden. Proboards Staff can see PMs and it is possible for the site to get suspended or deleted if they come upon it and it violates their community standards.
May I curse in chat, in a thread, or in character?
Yes, to an extent. Just watch how you use it. Again, PG-13. If you're using it to harass another member/character then of course not. Also try to refrain from using too much too often. Cursing should only highlight a specific trait in your character, not become the only thing they say.
Can I make a character that ISN'T attracted to girls?
It is your character, you can do whatever you want with her. But remember this is a yuri themed site. Many of the other characters will be same gender oriented. Your character may be lonely if they are looking for a relationship.
Can my character be transgender?
Transwomen students and staff are absolutely welcome! Transmenstudents are not, as it's an all girls school and
if they identify as male, it disqualifies them as a student.
Can my character be genderfluid (or other genders like agender, bigender, etc)?
Yes, so long as they are not fully male they are allowed as a student!
Can I play a male at all?
Yes! Faculty members are able to be male characters!
What do the school uniforms look like?
A traditional sailor-esque female uniform is used for the students. Its features a midnight tone of purple-grey details and a white main top with an even brighter white tie. The skirt is the same tone of purple-grey as on the shirt and is pleated all around. The stripes on the detailing are also white.
Here is a reference image.
Students also have the options of longer skirts (either floor length or knee length) or pants. They will remain the same color as the image above.
What are the class hours? How to classes work?
Classes at Fukui run between 8AM and 4PM. Classes are run more as college courses, so some of them only run on certain days and certain times. Most studio classes (such as dance, writing workshops, painting, life drawing, and more) run for 3 hours each class and only meet once a week. Other classes, mostly general education but some art classes, meet either twice a week for an hour and a half or three times a week for 50 minutes a class. Students are required to take at minimum 4 classes per semester with a max of 6 classes per semester.
Do clubs exist? How do I start one?
Clubs do exist! They can be started by anyone at anytime. To start one, it is recommended that you post the idea in the feedback thread to see what others on the site think of the idea of your club. Whether you chose to do that or not, PM me and let me know about the club you want to set up. Have an idea of a day, time, and name for your club and what it wishes to accomplish (it can be just for fun too). Then I will create a sub-board for you in the building or area you would like to hold it (ie. fencing club would have a sub-board in the recreation areas, and cinema club would have a sub-board in the main building). After that you can runthe club how you wish. You could use each thread as one meeting, or just use a single thread as all the meetings, etc. It is up to you.
If the leader of a club is banned, quit the site, or has been inactive for months, the club may be able to change leaders to keep it running. This will be on case-by-case basis and those interested in taking over should PM me.
How do roommates/the rooming system work? Can I request a roommate?
Once your app is accepted, I (Fuyu) will immediate add your character to the Rooming Assignments page and will randomly select a roommate for you. Roommates will always be of the same grade, but not the same major, personality, etc. If you'd like to request a roommate, please either put it on your character application under 'housing' or contact me and I'll put you with them. It is easy to change roommates, just contact me and I'll make the switch for you. Please don't switch to frequently, though, it might get confusing for other players if they're always being assigned a new roommate.
If picking your own roommate, they must be the same year as you. That is the only requirement.
What is the main language spoken in Fukui?
Generally, assume characters are speaking in Japanese, and foreign students will have to know some Japanese, though they need not be very eloquent with it. There are language courses available for both foreign and local students. When speaking in a language other than Japanese, having a clear convention marking such is helpful. For example, using <angle brackets> around non-Japanese text. Of course, if it's plot-relevant, you can leave some non-Japanese/non-English text untranslated
What name should I have for my account?
Usually "firstname-lastname" works well. Going by first name only can cause collision issues, especially with common first names.
What order should I put my character's name in for the application?
For the sake of standardization, since we have students from around the world, use the Western ordering (Given name, Surname).
