some coincidences are deliberate (none) Today was a day free of classes...which wasn't to say it was free of work, or stress, or schedule, but rather that she'd have a little extra bit of leeway with herself. For a while. She'd still woken up painfully early, slipping out of her bed and dorm before most people would even think about beginning to stir, but her head was still too fuzzy from sleep to entertain the notion of work. She needed a moment to wake up, to prepare herself for the intensity of the rest of the day, and that was why she found herself heading up to the roof of the main building with her saxophone case in hand.
Opening the door to the outside, she was immediately struck by just how good it felt up here - there was a light breeze this early in the morning, and it was cool enough that most people would be shivering every now and then, but in the moment she just thought it felt great. It was already helping to alleviate the fuzzy feeling in her head - the headaches and tension she'd been feeling the other day has eased off, thankfully, but it still felt like she was beginning to come down with something. Really, even her black short-sleeve tee and blue jeans felt like too much. Maybe she should look into picking up a personal fan for her bed.
Taking in a deep breath and retracting her cane, she let herself lean against the side of the doorway as she hooked her sunglasses onto the collar of her shirt and clicked open the case of her sax. Setting it down by her feet and taking a moment to rub under her eyes (which she assumed, by now, were noticeably darkened by lack of sleep) before carefully lifting the instrument out of the box. The smooth brass, polished often, glinted in the weak sunlight as she went through the motions of checking it out.
The only thing left to think about now, really, was what to play. Initially she thought about the project she was currently a part of - maybe expanding on it with a bit of improvisation - but perhaps not. But maybe something of a similar tone? The brisk air up here kind of made her want to play something despondent, anyway. Taking another deep, steadying breath, she put her mouth to the lip-piece and began to blow, her curved fingers manipulating the valves deftly.
The music she was playing wasn't from anything in particular, mostly a piece of improv, but it did carry a heavy sense of abandonment with it. The notes warbled as she played, alternatively stressing and drawing out at the appropriate times, as she tried to let herself go and play something meaningful. It certainly came from a lived experience; her brow furrowed slightly as a twinge of memory poked in her mind, of her childhood friend who'd just dropped out of her life, but it didn't seem to affect her ability in the present in the slightest.
She didn't really have an expectation of how long she'd spend up here, but hopefully she'd be more alert and in a better mood by the time she was done. CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS

A free day meant she could play as much music she want and no one would tell her stop. Trinity smiled to herself as she got out of bed early and took a shower. Putting on a light blue v neck and a pair of jean shorts she then slipped on a pair of flats. Grabbing her cello case she headed out of her dormroom.
She wonder where she could go so that no one would bug her. The rooftop! Most likely no one would be up there yet so that was plus. Heading there she held on to her cello tightly as she made her way up the steps. Just as she got to the door she stopped. Was that music? She didn't think someone would already be up her but she guess she was wrong. Trinity frown a bit then sighed, thinking that she should head back but the music that playing had a hold on her.
Biting her bottom lip lightly she open up the door and walked out. Standing in the doorway she just listen as the girl played her sax.
It was beautiful nothing like what she had ever heard before. Closing the door behind her softly she took a few steps closer and stopped making sure she didn't make a noise. As she went back listening to the sax player she closed her eyes and let the music take over her.
Once the girl stop playing she open her eyes slowly. This was the best time to let it be known that she was here. Clearing her throat she finally spoke.
"Your playing was really beautiful." She said sweetly as she looked down to the ground then back up at her. Trinity purple eyes had a bit of a shine to them as the sun hit them.

some coincidences are deliberate Eventually she felt like she’d played enough for now, and she finished with a few solemn, warbling notes that sort of trailed away at the end. As she took the mouthpiece away from her lips, one corner of her mouth quirked upwards in a wry kind of smile as she soaked in the quiet atmosphere of the rooftop and let her worries wash away - for now, at least. This was definitely a good idea to start her day with, and she was already feeling a bit better about her prospects of time-management.
She’d been so wrapped up in playing music that she’d totally missed the audio cues that signified she was no longer the sole person up here: the swinging of the door on its hinges and soft footsteps, quiet as they were, went totally unnoticed until the new arrival spoke up. Marie gave a small start upon this realization, before retrieving her sunglasses from her shirt-collar and placing them squarely back on her head.
”Oh! Uh, thanks - I didn’t notice I’d gained an audience.” There was the possibility that this other girl had gotten here ahead of her, but she’d heard absolutely no signs of anybody else when she’d first come out onto the roof, so more than likely she’d just stumbled on her in the middle of her improvisation.
Leaning away from the wall and returning to her normal posture, she lowered her instrument as she fiddled with the strap of her cane hanging on her left wrist. ”I’m not inconveniencing anything, I hope?” Surely there’d be a reason for someone else to seek out the rooftop this early in the day; she couldn’t have been playing that loud. ”I was just warming up a bit, so you’re welcome to the space if you needed it for something.” CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS

"Your more then welcome, but I hope didn't intrude on you did I?" She asked with a worry yet sweet tone in her voice. She really didn't think that she did but then again the girl was here alone first. Her hand grip her case a bit tighter as she went quite for a bit as she thought to her herself. As the girl spoke Trinity jumped a bit and shook her head.
"Oh no! Oh course not, it just seemed like we both had the same idea today is all." She said with a shrug and a light chuckle. Moving toward the wall she placed down her case at her feet and open it up. "I just came up here to practice a bit but I hope your not leaving so soon because of me." Pulling out a her stool first she then took out her black cello and closed her case back up. "I don't mind if you stay, I would really like it if you do." She smiled and toned her cello. It was only right that the other girl stayed since she was here first. Plus Trinity didn't want the girl to feel like she was kicking her out.

Somehow, everything was in a rush for her. Just when she had to go back to sleep, she remembered something: she left her bag. And her mind followed with a 'click', remembering where it specifically was. Vaguely, the rooftop. It could be scattered around the whole place, just hoping that it's content stays in tact. Not only that, she only remembered where it was, but not why. Oh, but it was just some habit of hers, one that she'll never cease to do. Ever.
If her bag came to mind, her clothing didn't. She was in black leggings, hugging her thighs; Covered her tank top with a cream-colored sweater; And just jumped in her burgundy boots. Her hair was roughly rushed, too - tied into a loose ponytail that seems very messy. Rei was still sleepy - but she'll keep her thoughts straight.
She ran towards the rooftop, tapping her shoes on the ground which give up a clacking kind of sound. Her walking was rather wobbly and uneven, surely eager enough to go back to sleep. As the door draws near Rei, she opens it. It pushed her body slightly, the cool, gentle breeze swiftly swaying away through her hair, and few people doing their idle chit-chat. She coldly ignored them and searched around for any sign of her bag. "Where could it be.." she mumbled to herself.

some coincidences are deliberate (every time I write about Marie's sax I have to quadruple-check to make sure I didn't accidentally sub in an "e" anywhere) "Nah, you weren't intruding at all. Very respectful, even, which you didn't have to be." Taking her hand off of her sax and letting it hang from it's shoulder-strap, she idly fished out a few hairpins from her jeans pocket and set about putting her hair up in a loose fashion. It was something that she probably should have done before leaving her dorm earlier, but she'd been too anxious to just get out and do something to take the time for it.
She was aware of the other person moving closer to where she was standing, followed by the 'click' of something opening - a hard case? - as they started to explain why they sought out the rooftop today. Someone else who was looking for solitude for their practice?
Ah, well...that makes quite a bit of sense.
"Well, no, I wasn't planning on leaving because of you-" The sounds of an instrument tuning caught her attention, sort of tugging at her as she tried to place them - obviously a string instrument. What kind, however, was on the tip of her tongue until the tuning notes clicked in her mind. Most likely a cello. Interesting.
"I was going to do some classwork after I was done..." There was the tiniest bit of hesitation in her voice, reminding herself that she still had a lot of stuff to get done, before she sat down cross-legged beside the wall and her saxophone's case. "But sure, staying here a while longer won't hurt anything."
And then a second person arrived on the rooftop, sounding...disgruntled? It was her best guess, going off of what little they said and their tone. They were apparently looking for something up here, and in other circumstances she'd be willing to offer her help, but well, expecting her to be of much use to any search of even a moderately-open area was foolish at best. Hopefully she'd find whatever it was she came up here to look for.
Still, the number of people up on the roof seemed to be steadily increasing and it struck her as fairly odd. It was certainly more social interaction than she'd expected to come across this morning, at any rate, but there was that little voice in the back of her mind that kept telling her that she probably couldn't make it through another three years at Fukui without meeting new people.
"My name's, uh, Marie. By the way." Unconsciously her hands wrapped back around her instrument as her fingers manipulated the valves, mostly paying attention to the lesser-used ones and the notes that she'd neglected previously to see if everything was still functioning smoothly. Trinity let out a sigh of relief as the other girl insure that she wasn't intruding "That's good to hear, and I sorta can't help it." She said as she let out a little chuckle. It was just a thing that she grow up on. Always treat people the way you would wanted to be treated. As she pucked at her strings she nodded her, pleased with the sound that came from it. Glancing over to the girl that was now sitting she smile lightly. "Great,I promise no- A pause was made in between of her sentence as someone else came through the door of the rooftop.
She seemed like she was busy looking for something. Trinity stood to ask if she could help her out but with in a few seconds of stand she sat back down on the stool when she was ignored. Shrugging a bit she assumed the girl just didn't want to be bother with.
"It's nice to meet you Marie,I'm Trinity.
Getting into position she sat up right and grab her bow. Taking some air in she then let it out and started to play.
The song was nothing that she wrote it was just a song that she really liked and often played when sh practiced.

She kept looking around the whole area of the rooftop, hoping her bag was here somewhere. The place is quite wide, anyway, so there are a lot of possibilities where it might be. If only she knew where it is, she wouldn't have been stuck here harshly interrupting the other girls' music. Or so she hears.
It must be here, somewhere. It's just one way to know where exactly, to ask them.
This isn't like Rei at all, asking people anonymously, moreover making friends out of them. Though she is sleepy, her mind still wobbles constantly out of everything. She has no other choice but to do so. It will be probably just once, maybe even twice..
She slightly hobbles towards the two girls, a little nervous of what she's about to do. "U-um.." she mutters, shifting her eyes. "H-have you seen a bag.. anywhere?" She instantly looks away, looking shy and unable to communicate in just the simplest of social ways. She's not one to start the conversation, nor continue it. Hope this goes smoothly...

some coincidences are deliberate (none) Not hearing much else out of the newer of the two arrivals, she proceeded to carefully (and quietly, not wanting to interrupt Trinity) slip the shoulder-strap of her sax over her head, laying it back down in its case. The lid followed, but the clasps remained open for now - snapping them shut would doubtlessly make too much noise.
The style of the piece Trinity had chosen to play sounded very warm, and quite captivating...it felt like a pretty stark contrast compared to what she herself had been sort-of-playing earlier, which probably helped to highlight the level of skill on display in her mind. Well, being here at this school meant that any given musician had an obvious amount of talent, but it was seldom that she got the opportunity to listen to an individual play.
She’d been about to compliment her on her performance when the other stranger (or perhaps now sole stranger, given that she had a name for one of them) chose to speak up, causing her to stop that train of thought and file it away for later. Hopefully Trinity hadn’t been so focused on her music that she hadn’t noticed Marie’s smile; she’d hate for someone to think she had no reaction towards their ability.
The question came forward - have you seen a bag - and it at least answered what they were looking for up here. Tired, in a weird state of mind, Marie strongly considered jokingly replying with something like ”actually no, haven’t seen much of anything lately” before quickly reprimanding herself.
Bad idea. No. Inappropriate. Let that question lie.
Shutting her mouth, which had momentarily been poised open in preparation for some kind of witty self-deprecation, she half-turned her head to the side in Trinity’s direction before awkwardly responding. ”I could...help you look?”
Idly she wondered what kind of reaction Trinity would have to this. Would she also offer to help? Two pairs of functioning eyes would be leagues better than a pair of eyes and a pair of fumbling hands, after all. Or maybe she’d already noticed the other girl’s bag and this problem would be solved expediently. CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS

As she played Trinity notice the smile that came to Marie lips, she was just glad that she could play something and other people enjoyed it. Just as she finish playing she let out some air and looked up at the other girl that had walked over at them. When she asked them a question the pink hair girl shook her head and placed her bow down beside her case.
"I can't say I have but if you like I'll help you look." Placing her cello down in her case she then stood to her feet. She didn't mind helping at all, she also kind of figure that she was going to do it anyway. Looking around the rooftop she couldn't spot anything out in the opening. Walking away from her stool she started to bite on her bottom lip as she thought. "Hmmm have you check over there where the vents are at?" She asked as she started off that way.

She slowly huffed underneath her lips, taking in a deep breath. Slightly bowing down as a usual tradition of Japanese people, Rei said softly. "Thank you very much." It wasn't what she intended to do, but it was the only thing that had come to her mind.
She backed up and stood straight, rubbing the back of her neck. Her green eyes merely shifted to look at the pinkette, supposedly ready to answer the question. "I checked those vents, there was no sign of my bag there..." Shifting her eyes, she couldn't look straight at them because of her somewhat deadly-like gaze. She didn't want to scare them now, but all she wanted was her bag, and go right back to sleep.

some coincidences are deliberate (none) The knowledge that Trinity would be willing to help out in a search made her feel better about the prospects; Marie was all too aware of the feeling one got when you couldn’t find something that possessed a certain level of importance. It was why she tried to keep all of her things strictly organized.
”Don’t worry; if it’s up here, I’m sure we’ll find it.” Locking the clasps on her saxophone case and standing back up, she swung the case’s strap over one shoulder as she extended her cane and set around searching the perimeter next to her. It likely looked very odd, considering she was poking around with the end of her cane, but bending over to search with her hands would’ve been awkward with the case on her back. ”Have you looked anywhere else, or is this where you decided to start?” CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS

Of all important situations like this, why did she have to be this clueless? Vaguely, it was somewhere here where all the three stand; the rooftop. But where specifically and exactly? No comment. She wasn't one to blame herself for all these habits she has. If only she were aware of her flaws, moreover her unlikely habits, she could organize at least one bit of her. Well, there's no stopping to it now.
"I think I hung it or something, it could be hanging around somewhere.." she had suggested, sharing one piece that just seemed to be in a blur of her memory. "I've looked through my dorm, few classrooms along the way, and I just can't seem to find it...so I would've continued here then." she rubbed her nape. The turtle neck was killing her. It's gonna scratch up a swollen rash if it had to. She just had to focus on the bag just for now..

Getting the new bit of information Trinity put a finger to her lips and started walking around the rooftop. Hanging around somewhere She mumble to her as she then looked up. Moving her and away she then started to bite on her bottom lip. It had to be here somewhere or at least she hope it was anyway. Going over to the other side of the rooftop she blinked a few and raised a brow.
"I didn't know they had a shed up here. Do you think someone could had put in there?" She asked as she turned to the other girls. She hoped so since they couldn't find it out in the opening.

As she started to engage in search for her bag, she quickly stopped when the pinkette asked something. "A.. shed?"she happened to ask herself, willing to relate that she's never seen that shed before. "..huh. It could be." she replied. That was surely not there when she left her bag. She clearly left it a few days before that shed was up.
Rei walked to the pink haired girl. A shed was not there. Was it just put up for show? Surely, the shed was odd to her, despite it looking completely normal and no sign of oddball around anywhere.

some coincidences are deliberate (none) A shed? Up here? She’d never heard about one (but when when would she have) and she’d never bothered to check out the entire perimeter of the rooftop before, but technically it made sense. She couldn’t really think off the top of her head what things would necessitate storing up here, but then again it wasn’t her job to care about that or anything.
Turning around to face in the general direction the other two were, lightly rubbing the point of her wrist where her cane was dangling from. ”Even if it’s not in there, that’s still a good train of thought. I know there’s a faculty member who oversees a lost-and-found.”
The amount of help she could offer in a situation like this was, understandably, limited. Hopefully it would turn out that the girl’s bag had been placed in the shed and the search would end there. CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS

For some reason Trinity felt like she seen this in scary movie before, a shed pops out of nowhere and a group of kids goes to check it out just as ax swinging mad person pops out and tries to killed them. Making a face she made a note to herself to stop watching so much of those movies. They was bad for her in times like this. Looking over at the other two girls she wonder who was going to go toward the shed first. Well of course not Marie, and it was the others girl's bag after all. After a few minutes she sucked her teeth to herself and started off toward it.
Yup just like in the movies the brave one dies while the other get way. She really needed to stop thinking like that. Getting to the door she glanced back at the girls then opened it slowly. If something jumped out at her it was going to get kicked in the face. Swinging the open the rest of the way she peeped in and looked around. "Seems like a plain ol shed to me. She yelled out to the others.

She glanced at the pinkette, eventually trailing along to the shed. She'd probably give out a sign to the other girl, saying, "Come on" with the use of body language. She made those sounds again with her heels which, somehow bring a tense feel to it. What was that again?
Oh, horror movies. Meh, nothing in particular for Rei.
Her eyes were straight into searching the shed. Despite how plain it looked, her bag was plain as well. Shifting to and fro, there it is! The bag! She scoots towards it and checks in case anyone had stolen anything in it. A pull of the zipper and, oh no. It's empty.
"A--ah...." she muttered. There was SUPPOSED to be something in here. Supposedly important, but it's still something to Rei. Now who on Earth would do this?!

some coincidences are deliberate (none) She dutifully followed after the other two, given a momentary pause and enough time for a headstart of course, before tapping against the wall of the shed and hooking her free hand into her pocket. She wasn’t really cottoning on to the whole ‘horror movie’ vibe that they were, so any signs of trepidation she managed to pick up just left her a little confused. It was just a storage shed, right? Worst possible outcome would be that they’d get caught looking somewhere they weren’t supposed to be. And hearing Trinity swing the door open, that outcome seemed less likely, considering the door apparently wasn’t even locked.
She was aware of the sounds of one of them shuffling inside - probably the unnamed girl looking for her bag - as she lingered nearby the doorway, not really feeling like she’d be of any use inside the cramped space. Perhaps the best she could manage was moral support. Her ears perked up to hear the audible muttering, which sounded dejected - at least, at first guess.
”Is it...not in here?” Obviously something was unsatisfactory. Maybe the bag had been damaged, or it was missing something she’d left in it? CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS

She took a quick glance at the raven-haired girl. Shaking her head, she was awfully sad in the inside. She should've been more responsible with her belongings, here she regrets it for not doing so. If only this wasn't a habit of hers; No, if only she'd never leave the bag behind here, everything would be settled.
"I've got the bag, but it's empty..."though she had forgot to mention one of her hand-crafted plushie was supposed to be in the bag, maybe she'd say so later on. But now isn't the time, but neither to continue the pursuit of finding something else. They have already found the bag, and maybe Rei is already bringing them further into her own foolish actions. One should be enough. If it were two, maybe they wouldn't help out, anyway.
Accepting the bag alone, she looked down, and was literally feeling like so. First of all, it was a work of hers. Next, she had bought the threads and cloth from Kyoto, which she will NOT go back and buy a new one. And the stuffing was also stolen as well. How much of a rebel is this high school!?
