Time Traveling Fashion (Melody! Shion!)

Why in the world had she suggested today of all days?  Shion was immediately questioning the wisdom of that decision as she heard her roommate.. er.. now girlfriend's response to it.  Just considering the fact that she had a girlfriend now was more than enough to make her head swim and her cheeks blush as if it were going out of style.  So often she'd daydreamed about having a girlfriend to hug or to hug her, hold hands with and so much more!  Now that there really was someone who would do those things with her she wasn't exactly sure of how a girl was supposed to proceed.  She offered no words as Melody told her that their dress up game had been fun to try.  Blushing more Shion wondered if any of her other clothes might suit the blonde, though most of them might not fit her quite right.  They were Shion's size after all.

Without daring to peek Shion quickly removed her antique-ish robes and set them back on her bed.  Or was that Melody's?  Who knew?  She was in such a hurry to get changed into an outfit suitable for a date with the blonde that she wasn't thinking totally straight.  Would the super princess-y looking dress be appropriate for just going out to dinner and karaoke with Melody?  Maybe it was too fancy but she had been told that she was a princess, so she felt obligated to dress up as such.  Without giving it another thought she pulled the dress out of her closet and stepped into it.  A beat later she pulled it up and slipped her arms through the sleeves, stopping only to admire the outlandish girliness of the garment.  A princess!  Her!  After a bit of feeling around she grabbed the zipper and pulled it up so that the back of her dress wasn't open for the world to see.  With her hair hanging freely, the pins removed from her previous Sting look and a blush on her face, she looked even more different than usual.  Now fully gussied up in a fancy dress she spun around and gave a giggle at the feeling of the skirt swishing around her long legs.

"I'm ready as well, M... Melody.." she gulped, seeing how pretty her date looked.  So simple yet sophisticated!  Shion stared at the floor and asked, "I'm over-dressed, aren't I?"

When Melody turned around and announced her readied state, her eyes were drawn immediately to her new girlfriend standing in a very princess-y dress. Her first reaction was to just stare for a moment, her eyes traveling slowly up the dress and finally onto Shion as she took in the look. Her next reaction was to giggle happily as the girl suggested she was over-dressed. For what felt like the first time, Melody knew exactly what she wanted to say.

Her smile grew a bit, still looking gentle and genuinely happy. "I told you you would make a perfect princess, didn't I?" she reminded the girl. Part of her was tempted to wink or something to go with it... so... she did, right before blushing intensely and breaking her initial smooth demeanor. "Er, anyway... I mean, I think you look great... and now we can go on our d-date."

Melody held the door for Shion as the pair walked outside. Almost no one else was around for whatever reason, and Melody was okay with that. It did help her relax a bit. "I uh... might be a bit awkward... fair warning..." she admitted, "I mean... it's just kinda surreal having a girlfriend all of a sudden... and she's... probably my best friend to boot. I hope that doesn't sound too... well, too anything I guess. It's just kinda true." she shrugged, walking beside Shion as they headed towards wherever they were supposed to go for food.
