Knee Socks (Yuri/Reine)

Oh, love is just labour in vain♥ The woman raised her eyebrows, both taken aback and amused by the girl’s words. She may have been pretty oblivious usually, but she could tell when the girl was teasing again. She had gotten used to it after the day before so the feeling was familiar after all. It was odd that Yuri was as reckless with her words as she was. It was a surprising contrast to the expressions she had been displaying that night. Someone who was so timid about their encounter shouldn’t have been the one joking about it. That was Reine’s role, she thought, but somehow she had let her anxiety about possible retaliation reduce her to a spineless mess. Alright. If Yuri was going to play the teasing game again, she couldn’t let it get the best of her anymore. If there was no reason to be frightened, she would just milk this for what she could. They were already in pretty deep after all, so she could joke too. Yuri didn’t feel awkward about it, so there was no need for her to feel burdened. Reine nodded her head slowly and smiled at the girl before walking over to her. ”I enjoyed your visit too, Yuri-chan. And I’m sure we’ll be able to finish up next time. No interruptions, no hindrances. I promise.” Her smile brightened and she gave the girl a gentle pat on her back. She could make suggestive comments too. No problem. ”But for now, you should probably head out. And don’t forget that you have a reading assignment that needs to be finished before class on Monday.” With her hand still pressed to the small of the girl’s back, she led her out of the kitchen and into the living room area where her front door was. ”You have my number if you need anything until then though, so feel free to contact me at any point. An unexpected reply there; Yuri thought, and kind of hoped, that she would've gotten at least another blush or stutter if she teased about something of that nature. Maybe she overdid it the other day, and now Reine was used to it. Damn. What a waste.

In any case, the girl replied with a comprehensive nod, a gentle shrug, and a step forward as she felt the pat on her back. "I got it, I got it. Took care of that yesterday morning," she said as they made their way toward the door. Of course, Yuri stopped along the way to pick up her bag--the one that didn't have the item she was leaving behind in it--and, upon actually reaching the door and stepping through it, turned around to say the last little goodbye for the day. It'd been a really weird visit and she never would've expected how it'd end up, but all in all, she was satisfied.

"See you in class tomorrow then?" Yuri asked, rhetorically so. Now that she thought about it, Reine was the first teacher she had ever actually associated with off campus and regarding anything other than on-campus matters. The woman certainly was different than what Yuri knew teachers to be like on a casual level, particularly in her lack of condescending behavior. Most adults--hell, most people in general--were like that around people they held power over. It was quite a relief to find that Reine wasn't like that.

Regardless, Yuri flashed another smile, but didn't turn away just yet. Instead, she stepped forward, extended her arms, and provided her teacher with a brief, yet firm embrace. "Have a nice rest of the day, Fisher-sensei," was the last thing she said before finally letting go of the hug, turning on her heel, and aiming to take her leave.

Surely today marked the beginning of an interesting new journey.
