I have been given many gifts, So that I may pass them on to everyone else Misha Shirayama Sixteen · Female · Japanese · Culinary Arts (Baking) Hair: Misha's hair is a platinum blonde, though it may look rather silvery under most lighting conditions. She likes to keep it long and free, though for the sake of food safety will tie it up when necessary. She may sometimes need barrettes in order to keep the hair from her eyes. Eyes: Misha's eyes are a pale blue, bordering almost grey. Her default gaze depends on her "mode", and will either be a bright-eyed expression or a tired and subdued somewhat gaze. Her eyebrows are thin and lightly arched. Face: Misha's face is heart-shaped with a softly pointed chin and very little in terms of cheekbones. Her lips are rather thin but have a healthy redness to them. Body: Misha stands at 5'11" and still growing, her relatively tall height a trait shared by the rest of the Sondrin family. Though lean, she has a wiry strength and is a bit stronger than she appears. Her skin is rather pale, but not sickly. There are minor burns on her hands, but one would need to look for them to find them. Clothing: For the most part, Misha prefers long and flowy outfits that let her move easily, though pants are more than acceptable. She likes neutral tones, but her wardrobe includes some pastels. She's not too fond of formal outfits, and dislikes showing too much skin. Vintage outfits, especially European ones, look very good on her. appearance General: Misha seems to operate on two modes. Most well-known is what Misha calls "shop mode", the persona she developed while working in the family's bakery. In shop mode, Misha is rather outgoing and energetic, prone to outbursts of theatrics for the sake of improving the mood around her. Nearly every action performed in this mode is done with great vigour, sometimes overwhelmingly so. She is not above the deployment of horrible puns, cheesy one-liners, overly-flowery manners of speech, and even light teasing, so long as it is clear that people are not too opposed to it, and has even charmed quite a few girls. Fortunately, she can tell if she's hit a limit and will shift modes. Because it was made well-known by her actions in the shop, Misha is sometimes pressured to maintain the facade and may switch into this mode when suddently confronted. Her other mode, as her younger sister calls it, is "onee-sama mode", and as far as Misha wants to care, is her "default" mode. In this mode, she is much more calm and ladylike, bordering on motherly, but is still rather outgoing. After the Sonohara triplets, Misha was the next oldest of the Kitamura childen who lived in Japan, and thus took care of her younger cousins. She will still retain some of her more flowery dialect, but will tend to use more witty manuevers rather than boisterous force. Regardless of what mode she is in, Misha is powered by a strong drive to help others. Even before she knew of her Russian heritage, the concept of "nobless oblidge" was rather near and dear to her heart, even though her family at the time was not well off. But as the bakery grew, along with the revelation of the nature of her biological parents, so did her sense of service and charity. She will sometimes intervene in an issue she was not a part of if she sees someone clearly under duress. This has given rise to her "knightly" reputation, which is perpetuated regardless of what ever mode she is in. For the most part, Misha is rather patient, but has a few sore spots. Spurning her efforts to help, espeically being ungrateful, will make her opinion of a person drop rapidly. When defending someone, her patience tends to correlate with how much stress her protectorate is under. She is not above inflicting physical harm or breaking rules when she believes it is for the greater good. Misha is generally slow to calm, and even slower to forgive. Despite her popularity, Misha has found it difficult to keep friends, as she holds a strong sense of loyalty (again, contributing to her appearance as a knight). Towards friends she is rather dutiful, and disdains selfish and manipulative people. While she doesn't mind teasing, execessive flirting tends to annoy her and lechery will quickly provoke her. While working in her bakery afforded her some reknown, Misha is rather unsettled by her reputation as the shop's mascot, and wishes to be known more for her skills than her appearances, and tries to show off her baked goods before her personality. However, habits are hard to break... Favorite food is chocolate, least favorite food is shrimp personality History: Misha was born as Mikhaila Sondrin, into a family of politicians closely associated with Mikhail Gorbachev. Due to the political turmoil of the Soviet Union, the young daughter was to be sent to her live with her father's brother Ivan and his wife Aki who had taken asylum in the United States, but when they were lost to an unfortunate incident, Mikhaila was sent to Aki's sister, Haru, in Japan. There, to protect her identity, Mikhaila was renamed to Misha and took on the family name of Haru's. Since Misha was moved at the age of two, she remembered little of her biological parents and grew up beliving that Tsubasa and Haru Shirayama was her biological parents. However, as she got older, due to her pale skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes, it was painfully obvious that she was not bioligically related to them, and was eventually told the truth by her cousin Cyrus, the son of Aki and Ivan. Nonetheless, she took the revelation rather well, not caring about the fact she was Russian by birth and not Japanese. However, not everyone was so receptive of Misha's foreign origin, and despite her proclamations that she was Japanese, she faced significant ostracism while in elementary school. But in middle school, her fortunes changed as she started working in the family's bakery. Cooking seemed to come naturally to Misha, and despite unpopularity amongst her peers, was able to charm the patrons of the shop with her welcoming personality. The Shirayama Bakery of Hachiouji City was already moderately popular, but with Misha serving as a greeter, cashier, and later baker, both the girl and the bakery became more well-known. Though Tsubasa and Aki were far from retiring, Misha believed it was best for her to learn as much as she could in the culinary arts to help support both her parents' bakery and the Satou Confectionery, owned by Haru's sister Natsu, which was also to be slated to be taken over eventually by Natsu's son Miki. Using the bakery as her portfilio, Misha appiled for a transfer to Fukui Academy was was eventually accepted. Now she tries to learn as much as she can to expand her skills and perhaps meet with other chefs.
