“Yeah you make me merry make me very very happy
But you obviously, you didn't want to stick around." ."
Aoi Ikeda fifteen · FEMALE · JAPANESE · PAINTING - Hair: Straight, black hair that goes below her waist.
- Eyes: She has expressive, dark brown eyes with long lashes.
- Face: A roundish face, suited for her age, with smooth skin and fine features. She has pierced ears and usually wear earrings.
- Body: At already 5'4", Aoi is tall for her age. She has a slender figure but is slightly buxom, and this along with her height leads to people thinking she's older than she is.
- Clothing: Aoi's wardrobe seems to be in constant turmoil. She appears in rebellious, punk rock ensembles - complete with ripped leggings and the occasional faux leather - about as often as mild, but fashionable sets. Most of the time, it's a mix of the two, with inoffensive skirts being paired with studded bracelets or boots.
appearance - General:
Aoi’s personality has taken a bit of a downturn recently. Once impish and cheeky, she’s often openly rebellious when it comes to authority. She can come off as brash, though she remains friendly and outgoing, willing to openly socialise with pretty much anyone, peer group or not.
She can be plucky to the point of impulsiveness, too, often rushing into things with seemingly no heed for the consequences. She’s fiercely loyal to her friends, and fears abandonment above all else. Underneath her cheeky, rebellious demeanour, she carries a lot of guilt and anxiety about her father’s arrest.

personality - History: Aoi was born in Hikone- a small city near Kyoto- to a young bank teller and waitress, neither of whom were expecting her to appear when she did. She remembers her childhood being a time of financial burden and stress for her obviously unprepared parents, but that disappeared when she was around nine. Told that it was due to support from an aunt who had passed, the family was able to buy anything they wanted, moved to a nicer apartment. Aoi received any of the often-expensive equipment she needed to cultivate her love for art and drawing. Her parents adamantly encouraged her hobbies. By the time she was thirteen, she was painting murals for her local Girl Scouts troop.
Aoi had, however, always been rebellious, and by the time she hit her terrible teens that was full force. Though she had a lot of friends, received decent grades and had a myriad of art-related extracurricular, she could not keep out of the principal’s office, often for openly defying teachers or arguing with classmates. When she applied to Fukui, she was accepted on a generous scholarship – something that to her parents was a blessing and, hopefully, would shake her out of her rebellious streak. And it did- for the most part. She shaped up, kept her extracurricular, her grades went up and her number of weekly detentions went down. Her excitement for getting into the art school that could finally take her hobby to the next level showed.
A week into her first semester at Fukui, however, her father was arrested for bank fraud. It was found out that he had been altering and depositing cheques for years. He denied any involvement of his wife or coworkers, and was fined and sentenced to 25 years in prison. The revelation hit Aoi like a truck, and her rebel streak came back in full force, complete with arguing, skipping school, defying teachers, and approaching illegality, at times.
