The comments over whether there was any symbolic meaning was meant to be a more diplomatic saving throw. Misha knew that the imagery, putting aside its colourful grotesqueness, was more or less random, confirmed by Matylda's comments over what she did when a muse visited. Not that Misha disparaged such a creative method; after all, her cousins Yumeko and Mashiro followed a similar pattern.
Somewhat intrigued, Misha continued to look over the various images that Matylda showed her on her phone. The overall style was something the baker knew she would not wholly appreviate, it familiar enough that the Russian wanted to put a finger on it, as if she had seen it in passing through some store window. Even so, Misha had to command Matylda for being able to draw so many different types of subjects so consistently, nodding lightly every now and then. Still, it felt too dishonest to fake rapt interest, and so Misha's expression was one of mild curiosity. That was until Matylda got to the last image on the phone.
Misha's eyebrows raised in surprise, but not just because of the sudden change in style, but the subject. It was clear that a lot of effort went into the image. That level of obsessive detail...that too was rather familiar, bringing to mind a dark-haired friend. Curiosity started to knaw more strongly as Misha opened the door to the dorms for Matylda, letting out a breeze of warm and comforting air wash over them.
"Indeed, it is quite a feat that you can capture so much of the image with fleeting inspiration," Misha said, smiling softly as she held door open and then followed after Matylda into the dorm's foyer. "Including the odd-one-out. Pardon my curiosity, but...that girl...well. I've seen that kind of detail in work before, and it tended to be for someone...special."
