"This tune is deplorable!"
The owner of the voice sighed deeply, tightly grabbing the violin bow in their right hand.
Their name was Masako Haneseira, an orchestra violinist in training. Or, rather, she was trying to be. Lately, the Japanese teen has been messing up on playing her violin, as if she's become tone deaf. From converting complex, detailed songs such Baytoven's work unto her violin, to playing nursery songs like "Mary Has a Little Lamb", all Masako can hear is wrong or strained notes.
To make matters worse, the Japanese teenager's mother, who was a seen for a school specifically for elementary age students with gifts for orchestra/classical instruments, had a big school concert coming up. When the Fuukai musical department sent good feedback to Mrs.Haneseira, the mother decided for Masako to play at the event's opening.
Masako was considering to back out, but her elder sister, Kotone, was also invited" said elder girl being a college student aiming to be an orchestra harpist. Masako did not want her already better musical sister to also be seen as the sister who "tries harder", so Masako has spent the last two weeks practicing as hard as she could.
Unfortunately for the girl, it seemed that the next four weeks before the event would, as of now, be filled with tone deaf playing.
"It appears my six year harmonious bond with my instrument has started to disperse," Masako said, her voice tired and frustrated, "just my pitiful, unfortunate luck."
The violinist was so bummed out about her violin's corrupted sound, she didn't even realize there was someone walking into the music room.
