It is also somewhat wavy and pretty thick. Eyes: Hinata has narrow, blue eyes with full lashes and framed with long, thin eyebrows. Face: Hinata has a diamond shaped face with fair, clean skin. She has a prominent nose and dull lips. With her make up, she tends to two shades of foundation, a peach blush, and pale pink lipstick. Body: Hinata stands at 170 cm and weighs in at 59 kg. She's a bit taller than average, but nothing out of ordinary. She has a bit of an athletic build, an active girl. Her hormone replacement therapy has worked it's magic, but not fully just yet. This has lead to breasts and curves that are noticeable, though a bit lacking. While this worries her, she still looks normal, and will fill out a bit more in time. Clothing: Naturally, Hinata has outfits besides her uniform, and here are a few. A common one is a black cami, green cardigan, and jeans. A common winter one for her is a yellow scarf, white sweater, and grey maxi skirt. And she has a red sundress she adores. She’s usually wearing a necklace of some kind or another all the time. She also tends to wear flats over heels, not fully used to the later yet. appearance General: Hinata feels like she has everything to prove: to herself, her family, and everybody around her. She feels like an impostor and a freak. She doesn’t think she deserves what she has. As a result she wears a mask of false bravado that’s as much for herself as it is for others. She works very hard and strives to improve herself, sometimes pushing herself too far. And she can be fiercely competitive, never one to turn down a challenge. Hinata doesn’t want to get hurt again. She refuses to take any shit from people anymore, which can lead her to explode at folks. She also may be suspicious and questioning of new people, suspecting the worse. And can be wary about being personal and opening up to others. However, this means she also holds a lot of value in those she does trust and see as friends. She’ll stand by them through thick and thin. Hinata fundamentally wants to feel safe, accepted, and loved. Hinata still wants to be kind. She tries to be friendly and polite to everyone until proven they don’t deserve the courtesy. She’s eager to give and to lend a hand or ear when the opportunity presents itself, though this can put her in over her head. She also won’t hesitate to intervene in something if it seems like somebody is in trouble or being treated badly. This can cause it’s own trouble, jumping headfirst into a conflict without knowing the whole situation. Snaps her fingers when she’s trying to think of or remember something or when she has an idea. However, it isn't noticeable when she sings. It’s via singing that Hinata learned how to control her voice well and sound feminine. In fact, she modeled her speaking voice after an idol in Osaka she admires. Hinata is bi/pan While Goro and Hinata figured they couldn’t keep a romantic relationship up with the distance, they’re still friends. The two regularly write each other, and she tells him about just about everything. Hinata being trans is probably an open secret in Fukui. Hinata is afraid of thunder. personality History: Hinata was born in Osaka to Wataru and Aoi Ueno, seemingly as their son at first. Neither of the parents were particularly comfortable with Hinata’s affinity for girl’s clothes and toys, much less her actually telling them she was a girl. For Wataru, the whole situation felt like a cruel joke to him; he and Aoi already had a daughter, Nanami, born only a year or two after Hinata. Life with the Ueno family proved fairly normal. Aoi and Wataru have put a lot of pressure on their kids to succeed. Though they’ve encouraged Hinata and Nanami to follow their own passions; the specifics of what exactly they excelled at weren’t important, as long as they were dedicated. And Hinata does have good memories of spending time with her parents. Such as Aoi regularly taking Hinata and Nanami with her to theater, concert, and stand up comedy shows. And Wataru’s habit of bringing home model kits, especially Gundam ones, home with him after work and build them with his kids together. School had also been difficult for Hinata. She had a hard time making friends. Though she did meet Goro, a boy who became a long time friend of hers and eventually her first crush. She also frequently had troubles with her grades, much to the disappointment of her parents, which in turn only sort of made things worse. Eventually, Aoi noticed that over the years, Hinata’s feelings of being a girl hadn’t gone away, and figured she’d do some research and figure out what to actually do about her child. Wataru was much more resistant initially. However, it became clear to him that his kid wasn’t happy and that he might have something to do with it. And so he became open to what his wife was telling him: that they had to accept Hinata as she was and help her. Nanami saw Hinata as a freak and thought her parents were acting absurdly, though naturally she was overruled. Hinata got some much needed professional help. Her psychologist decided that transition was the answer. Talks with school staff were had. Ultimately, Hinata was able to start her last year of middle school finally presenting as a girl. This was exactly what she had wanted. It really was a dream come true, in some ways. Besides the obvious, you could tell Hinata was a bit different. She had a new vigor to her. Her grades improved. She became more social. She found a new love and talent in music. She even got the courage to give Goro chocolates on valentines day. While his best friend changing rather drastically certainly threw Goro for a loop, he couldn’t deny he had started to find Hinata cute. He accepted the chocolates and became Hinata’s boyfriend. However, Hinata wasn’t safe. It started out with teasing, insults, and rumors. A turning point moment for her was being stood up at a concert by some friends who then refused to associate with her afterwards. Eventually the bullying escalated to things such as her clothes getting stolen and even her getting repeatedly assaulted. Goro also got treated badly by association. At one point, Hinata’s parents had to talk her out of suicide. A blind eye was turned initially, despite the complaints of Wataru and Aoi. Something was only done after the bullying followed Hinata to high school. Eventually, it was decided that Hinata needed to transfer schools. Fukui seemed like the natural choice or Hinata’s transfer. The policies seemed accommodating so that what happened at her old school wouldn’t happen at Fukui. The school also had a good reputation, so her parents also trusted it. In fact, doubly so since their other daughter Nanami was doing quite well there. Hinata and Goro broke the relationship off, saying their goodbyes. And Hinata went off to start a new chapter of her life in Fukui. Though she’s considered other things she’d like to do, like become a paramedic or teacher. She definitely plans on getting gender confirmation surgery and having her records changed.
