you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain
Minato Kurogane
Sixteen · female · French-japanese · student
- Hair: Black. short, straight, stylized in a 'messy' fashion. One singular strand of hair is dyed a burning crimson.
- Eyes: Light blue. Ambitious and aggressive, they embody the Japanese stereotype of the westerner.
- Face: Handsome, with a well-defined triangular jaw and cheekbones.
- Body: Well-built, the textbook 'feminine' shape. Ready for any occasion. She could rock anything from a wedding dress to a sports jersey.
- Clothing: Stylish, hip. Normally designed and crafted by herself, even her uniform. Even the most subtle hues are coordinated. She tends to be versatile in her clothing, but her material is always of the highest quality. Expect many dark colors for herself.
appearance - She's the hero. Or... is she? Minato definitely displays the common traits found in a protagonist; spunky, outspoken, confident, determined. She really could be slapped onto any adventure story, from old fairy tales about a darling lady to more recent depictions of fantastical, colorful bloody messes. That award-winning smile, that compassion for people she cares about... heck, she even has a tendency to burst into protagonist speeches, which are filled with spirit and conviction.
But a protagonist speech is only one step away from a monologue. Despite the neon lights screaming 'I'm the hero!' in her personality, there's something sinister in how apathetic she is to her opponents. Minato acts rather charismatic, sure, but that becomes a chilling calmness in places she REALLY should be more fired up. After winning a cliche victory as the underdog, the girl is the type of person to promptly beat the opposition into a bloody pulp only a few seconds later. She doesn't follow the heroic rule of 'fight until good is achieved', she follows 'fight until bad is eradicated'.
And in today's society, good and bad are very hard to define.
Where on one side, she might be the shining champion in the dark, on the other side, she may as well be the heartless destroyer of hard work. The problem with Minato is that she doesn't quite care about any side but her own, and thus spares her conscience from wondering if she's ever doing the right thing. Because she's ALWAYS doing the right thing, in her mind. So even though she might act like the protagonist, her cruel ignorance makes her one of the most uncaring people in the Academy.

- Her artistic ability would be clothing designing. She hopes to take over her mother's company one day.
- She speaks English, French, and Japanese. Her first language is French.
- Due to her dual passports, "Minato Kurogane" is only her Japanese name. Her original French name is Maria Rouette Forni.
- Her hatred for swimming comes from the fact that her skin is naturally sensitive to chlorine, thus causing her to gain rashes in any swimming pool.
personality - History: Growing up on the rich streets of Paris, Minato Kurogane, who was then Maria Forni, was raised under her Clothing CEO of a mother and her father, the secretary. She seemed to naturally be drawn to this idea of a 'rebel', and given the general archetype of a villain being rich, ambitious, and commonly a parent, she developed this need to disagree with her mother in order to satiate her childhood personality.
This need branched out to others who fit the bill, and she soon developed those initial protagonist tendencies. She honestly believed that her hatred was rooted in the common good and justice, but... she just couldn't bring herself to really hate her mother, as much as she tried. The woman was benevolent, realistic. Definitely not the villain that the youth imagined.
Her idea of 'hero' was skewed from the beginning, and she begun to stray from 'fighting for the greater good' to 'fighting for the right side'. And to her, the right side was always the side she was on. She'd inherited her fierce competitiveness and efficiency from her mother, and as she grew older, she begun to be a bit more heartless about using it. Instead of just proving some snobbish aristocracy wrong, she begun to actively beat them into the ground.
The girl's mother became proud of her, and the two started reforming their relationship quickly. The whole 'villain' ideal was played off as a child's whimsy, and she begun her conversion from goody-two-shoes hero to ambiguous Machiavellian in the years before attending Fukui Academy.
She was sent to Fukui because of it's prestigious fame for producing extraordinary talents. As it was, she had a good hand at design and couture, so they accepted Maria Forni into their program. Within that school term, she'd completed her first year course at Fukui as Minato Kurogane. The first year came and went uneventfully. After a summer of touching up her skills back at France, Minato returns for her second year.
