nineteen - twenty one i tried to write about your eyes but i ran out of cliches, i tried to say you plainly but there wasn’t enough truth, whoever invented this language didn’t anticipate you. + @clear + @tagged2 + I suck so much at starters + x.x | It felt so weird to have moved all that much since coming to Japan. But then, it was even weirder having to walk around without understanding a lick of anything that was written anywhere. WHY did the Japanese insist on having a language where its written form looked like chicken scratch?! She couldn't even read her textbooks without the translator on her phone, hell there wasn't even a Japanese to Welsh translation book! That made the girl want to just crawl under a rock and pretend the nightmare was over... But of course, after waking so many days in a bed that wasn't in her Uncle's home quickly cast that ideal out. Curse that old man... Curse that opera teacher!
But cursing people wasn't going to help her figure what building was what now was it?
...
During lunch, Eirlys had tried to familiarize herself with the school. If you couldn't read or didn't want to ask where you were going, best to find out yourself right? So while the other 'prodigies' had gone to the cafeteria or hung out elsewhere - Eirlys wandered the halls in hopes of remembering numbers and faces. Of course, most of those said faces entered her mind for a split second before vanishing as quickly as they came. What a pain. Why didn't she have a picture-perfect memory like those genius kids? Ugh. Well, the red head was exactly the most stubborn when it came to hassles like this so she found herself a peachy little spot on the steps that led up to the roof, choosing to relax there and realize she didn't have any food on her. Well it wasn't like she was hungry anyway, more like just exhausted. That's the main reason why she chose to stay on the steps that faced toward a window instead of the hallway, that way she could sprawl up without much of a challenge. Most kids who went up to the roof were already up there and it garnered the least amount of traffic.
Pulling out her phone from one of her uniform's pockets, Eirlys slid around on its touch screen. Messages, news, schedules (the lot of it was empty) - the girl satisfied herself with a pair of ear-phones and random radio station. Unfortunately, it was all Japanese. Fortunately, she could understand that Japanese. So she sat there, staring out the window at the kids below who ate or ran around or whatever; legs stretched down the steps. All in the while, a tired expression sat on her face.

{ } Damn it. It was bad enough Ester accidentally slept in her dorms forgetting that she had art, but now she has detention after school. Great. Just fantastic. In fact, she was suppose to be in detention right now. Ester was never the type to go rebellious when it comes to detention. When it comes to detention, she would always try to find a way to entertain herself, and one of those ways were bothering the teacher with multiple pranks and annoyances. Like paper airplanes. Sadly, those would only extend the days of Ester's detention instead of trying to earn them off. Then again, Art wasn't really Ester's subject. Art in terms of music? Hell yeah. Drawing? Forget about it. Ester didn't feel like she should go through all the trouble of trying to avoid the faculty members that might be searching for the multi-haired girl. She did though lived for the drama and action, it was in her blood after all. She couldn't really enjoy it too much, but she'd enjoy it anyway. But instead, she'd keep herself on low profile for now. So, right now the best thing to do is to simply camp up on the roof and hopefully get some peace around here. She was smart enough to snatch a few bags of chips with a bottle of soda just to keep her up and running. Ester didn't have lunch as of now, but she was hungry as hell. Right now she technically had art which can serve as detention in her eyes, but she didn't want to go through seeing that lady again. That was only because Ester didn't feel like getting scolded again. She already had enough to deal with from today just from that one woman. Making her way to the stairs of the roof, she saw a red-headed girl sitting on the steps. As if Ester didn't have any more obstacles to overcome. It looked like she was listening to music, something Ester would do at a time like this. Now, when it comes to situations like this, it would be best to just ignore and move on so no one can disturb the person and leave them be. Ester in this case was the exact opposite on what to do. Climbing up a few more steps, Ester would attempt to squeeze herself in next to the red-headed girl on the steps with her bags of chips and bottle of soda clutched into her hands. The chances of Ester thinking if she should leave the girl alone or not were low, so why not approach instead? With another attempt to pull an earphone out of the girl's ear, Ester would do her usual greeting: "Yo." And of course an offer: "Chips?"MADE BY VEL OF GS

nineteen - twenty one i tried to write about your eyes but i ran out of cliches, i tried to say you plainly but there wasn’t enough truth, whoever invented this language didn’t anticipate you. + @clear + @tagged2 + Pew pew + o.o | How was it that sitting on the steps, listening to music; and staring at shadows happened to be more relaxing than the quiet? Of course the lack of people was always a comfort. Authority figures specifically. She just couldn't stomach those guys at the moment, perhaps for eternity. Only the future would see...
But life was never happy to just leave the girl to her devices. Nope. She hadn't heard the footsteps but she saw the multi-colored hair from the moment it rounded the corner. Thinking that this other girl, this very... colorful-looking girl was going to just pass her by; Eirlys had scooted over just a smidgen more (it was kind of hard to go farther when you had a wall in your way). Thinking this lady was just going to go up to the roof, the red head had covered her eyes with her hand in a sort-of resting position. She would need to process that appearance. It wasn't so much that she disliked the other girl's appearance, rather that she had never seen such... 'glamour'. Pink hair yes, blue, yes; - multi-with-HORNS? Nope. But then of course, that would be too easy now wouldn't it?
Shortly into her 'processing' period, Eirlys found one of her ears free of her earphone. What? Oh no... Slowly but surely the red head had turned her head to see the horned girl who was supposed to walk past her. She even moved over for her! But no, there she was. A greeting and an offer of food was to follow. Eirlys had half the mind to just get up and walk away but she was comfy. "I'm good thanks." There was a pause as she rested her head against the wall.
"...Aren't you going up?" one hand was ready to put the hanging ear-phone back in its place the moment she heard an answer, more or less expecting the other to say 'yes'. Every few seconds she would catch herself trying to stare at the top of the other girl's head but quickly brought her gave back to the wall. Ah walls... they were such nice supports.

{ } Seems like Ester's offer was declined. Oh well, more for her. For the sake of manners, she just did it to be nice. Can't say it was for nothing. With a shrug, she placed the bottle of soda and bags of chips down near her with only one bag in her hand. "Suit yourself." She said, opening one of the chips, munching away. At least she was nice enough to offer. While she still had a few munched up chips in her mouth, Ester still decided to reply. "If I was going to go up, you think I'd be sitting here talking to you?" She replied back with a question of her own, not looking back at the girl. Ester would actually ask to move the moment she spotted the girl, but rudely like "move it" or just a simple "move". Still, she needed a chat just to relieve some stress off of her. After swallowing and shoving a few more chips in her mouth, Ester finally turned her attention to the red-headed girl. She was honestly curious on what the girl was listening to. Ester was a sucker for music, after all. She accepts all types of genres, but the most general genre she loves the most would be electronic dance music. No other genre can beat the hype and emotions that EDM holds. "So," Ester started her new sentence, swallowing up the chips in her mouth. "What are you listening to?"MADE BY VEL OF GS

nineteen - twenty one i tried to write about your eyes but i ran out of cliches, i tried to say you plainly but there wasn’t enough truth, whoever invented this language didn’t anticipate you. + @clear + @tagged2 + Huehuehue + *v* | This girl was clearly not going to leave. How did the red head know? Because she was planting her foodstuff down, that's how. Plus she decided to continue talking, not leaving much of a chance for the girl to casually slip her earbud back in. At the girl's counter, Eirlys merely shrugged. Isn't that usually what happened when people lost interest? Did she look particularly lonely to warrant a need for company? No. At least, Eirlys was fairly sure she wasn't screaming the need for attention - not yet anyway.
Finally deciding to leave the bud out, preferably resting in her hand so it didn't dangle anywhere and get snagged; Eirlys had resigned herself to wondering if the window in front of them could open. This was what, the third floor? Fourth floor? Something like that. She wasn't quite sure with these large, fancy windows. Fancy buildings tended to go along with scholarship academies much to the girl's delight. But her attention was brought back to the horn girl when a simple question met her ears. Listening? Oh the music. Putting her free hand over the ear that did still have music, Eirlys tried to determine just that. When she'd first listened in, it sounded like pop; now it was something more along the lines of hip hop. Waking her phone from its little black screen daze told her that she found herself a top fifty radio. That would explain why the hip hop didn't sound remotely like english or japanese... maybe chinese? Could have also been Korean but Eirlys would never know. One asian language was enough for her. It was a good beat though.
"Right now? Foreign Hip Hop." Eirlys stated simply, offering the horn-girl the extra earbud. Thankfully the wire was long enough to reach at least half way across the step at its full length. Now it was a question for a question. "Do you think that window opens?" She asked casually, resting her head against her knees as she brought them up to the step just beneath the one she sat at. Grey eyes stared at the glass with the most neutral expression on her face. It wasn't even bored, tired had already passed - just... neutral. Well, as neutral as her natural glare would make her seem.

{ } Finishing up the last few chips from the bag, she was one with one of the few snacks she brought. Crumbling up the plastic bag, Ester placed it one step behind behind her, planning to through it away later. She may be loud and obnoxious, but she was no litter bug nor was she some sort of environmentalist either just by that alone. Going for her second bag of chips, the girl gave one of her earphones for Ester to listen to the music she was listening to. Foreign Hip Hop, huh? Truth be told Ester wouldn't really know what 'foreign' would be like. Maybe something that wasn't Japanese? She was technically Korean, so even Japanese music is foreign to her. But then again, she lives in Japan. Screw it, she'll just listen to it anyway. Taking the earphone, she held it up crookedly at first, trying not to get much crumbs or grease on the earphone. Once she had it in her ear, immediately she found herself nodding her head to the rhythm of the song. Well she'll be damn, the girl actually had some good taste in music than Ester would expect. Ester then turned her attention to the window as she asked if it could open. Was the girl hot or something? Did she needed some fresh air? But now that she thought about it, can it open? Ester would know it's not there as a decoration or something. Well, maybe it is but who knows? "Guess so." She answered. Turning back to the other girl, she couldn't help but try to make out the facial expression being made. It looked... so... dead to Ester. And nothing makes her awkward than someone's blank expression. "...You okay? Do you need some fresh air... or...?"MADE BY VEL OF GS

nineteen - twenty one i tried to write about your eyes but i ran out of cliches, i tried to say you plainly but there wasn’t enough truth, whoever invented this language didn’t anticipate you. + @clear + @tagged2 + Sorry 'bout that wait + >3< | The other seemed to like the random song that Eirlys had shared, guess all the time in the gym gave her some notion of good music. Besides, who even needed to understand the language to like a beat? It wasn't like as if people actually paid attention to the lyrics other than to sing along... Well, she didn't anyway. Still it was rather humorous how the other had begun to bob her head to the beat. Yet despite her faint amount of attention on the horned girl, Eirlys didn't pay any attention to the fact that the other was nice enough to try and not make her earbuds all shiny. No, after the mere second of that glance - those grey eyes were back on the window. She was getting an itch.
Her heart nearly leapt from her chest to hear that the square, or rectangular; panel could open. Even if it was only a guess. Taking her earbud out and placing her phone where she sat, the red head went up to check. It was relatively simple for a fancy academy that handed out scholarships. In fact, finding what opened it wasn't hard at all. At the very bottom was a simple switch that locked it, just like the windows in the classrooms. Somehow, that seemed rather dangerous to her. But then this was Japan. They cleaned everything and cleaning usually meant open doors and windows for airing things out. Still this was a happy little coincidence for her.
Flipping the switch, amused at how there was no lock or something; Eirlys opened the panel. Fresh spring air wafted in, almost making the girl miss the other's question. She leaned against the open side before looking back to the other. "I'm bored." she finished that question simply, moving toward the steps once more to check her phone for the time. Quite a bit of lunch was still left, that was good. It would only take her about five to get down anyway. The building was rather simple like that. Putting her phone back on the step, she headed back to the window - poking her head out to check where all the ledges and whatnot were. See? Simple. Castles had plenty of footholds but they were often slippery thanks to the moist air of Wales. But here? It was almost silky.
Without a word, Eirlys hopped the sill, landing delicately on her toes on the outer sill. "Mind bringing that down to the first floor? Thanks." She had pointed at her phone before immediately shimmying her way down. It was seriously easy with how geometrically correct they had made the school. Of course the breeze would have made any self-conscious maiden think twice about her skirt but then those maidens didn't wear shorts under theirs like she did. Light and quick, almost like a monkey she hopped and hung and climbed - using the classroom windows when the distance between the hallway windows was too much. She found her way back inside through a first floor window which had been left open, scaring the life out of a few girls who had been hanging around in front of it.
Dusting off her hands, the red head made her way out into the hall, more than a few eyes on her from the classroom. She was fairly sure some had spotted her outside but she cared less about their chattering. Now to find that horn girl... It would be bad if she had to search the school for her phone, especially after she'd left it there for the girl to continue listening to since she seemed to like it so much.

{ } "...Figures." Ester mumbled to herself, half paying attention to the girl who left her spot on the steps to go open the window, letting the fresh and soft breeze enter in and half paying attention to the music that was on the girl's phone. Like it was said, Ester was always an addict to music, no matter what genre it was. It always appealed to her so well; not on the same level as electronic dance music, but it was music. Taking her attention full on the girl, she immediately noticed that she was on the sill in front of an open window. Standing on a sill. In front of a freaking open window. Was this chick complementing suicide? Would she jump? Hope not. Would Ester watch if the girl would? Call her sick and crazy, but that'd be a hell yeah. Never expect Ester to show some sympathy to some dead stranger. It'd be honestly awesome to Ester than sad or just being sick for being amused, though that's likely to happen. Before Ester knew it, the girl casually told her to bring the phone down to the first floor before leaped out the window. As the girl jumped out, Ester quickly scattered herself to the window to see what would happen. Instead of falling to her death, Ester saw the girl skillfully leaped and hung her way down. Holy shit, the multi-haired colored girl would think. That's just freaking awesome right there! Who'd knew Ester would expect parkour out of that red head? While Ester watched in awe, she then remebered to take the phone down to the first floor where'd she meet the girl. Oh. Right... phone. But then again... it was just so much work to walk all the way back down, but then it'd be a dick move to just stay here, right? Better get walking. Gathering all of her remaining snacks and drinks, Ester began to make her way to the first floor, taking her time. ...But instead, Ester wounded herself up on the second floor instead, but the girl didn't really took note of it, now that she had both earphones in the ears. Wandering down the halls for a few seconds from her arrival, she turned a corner and continued walking down. Already tired of walking, Ester decided to sit down in the hall and continue her snacking session. Wait, there was something that Ester was suppose to do... something important. Something that Ester had to give back that was very important to someone... Oh well, that thought will catch on to her. Eventually. MADE BY VEL OF GS

nineteen - twenty one i tried to write about your eyes but i ran out of cliches, i tried to say you plainly but there wasn’t enough truth, whoever invented this language didn’t anticipate you. + @clear + @tagged2 + Haaa short post is short + >3< | That was odd. Despite scouring the entire first floor, the red-head (who had to avoid a few unhappy teachers) had yet to find Horny. Yes, as awkward as that may have sounded it was what she would call her for the time being. It wasn't like she actually asked for Horny's name before she decided to entertain herself, even if said entertainment only lasted till teachers started hunting her down. Man were they mad but then teachers were always mad. But they weren't her problem at the moment, not directly anyway; right now she needed to find Horny and her phone. If she lost that then all contact to the outside world would be gone, zip, nada.
Eirlys hadn't bothered to check outside, choosing to head back up thinking Horny was a lazy bum and had planted herself right where she'd left her. Or maybe she was just so incredibly slow she was still trying to get down the stares.
...
Best check all the floors completely.
Good thing she did too, after dodging a stalker teacher; the red head had managed to duck in and out of classrooms before finding that familiar figure planted down in the hallway. Had she not said first floor? She was fairly sure she'd asked nicely too... Oh well. At least she didn't have to hoof her way back up toward the roof. That was probably the only thing that kept her from getting angry, in fact; she still felt quite bored despite the trouble she was in. And that showed quite clearly on her face as the same expressionless 'thing' that she'd hopped out of the window with. Kneeling down next to Horny, Eirlys reached to pop the earbud out of her ear before saying, "I need my phone back now." One hand was held out for the device.
Overhead the intercom had blared out, demanding her in the Teacher's Lounge but Eirlys completely ignored that. There would definitely be trouble later but she didn't quite feel like being reprimanded at the moment. Besides, lunch was nearly over. She wasn't going to do some weird community service after school or during tomorrow's lunch. Hell no.

{ } I wonder what else this chick has... Ester wondered, picking up her second bag of chips and opening it up. She then began to chew her way through the chips in the bag. It was honestly a damn shame she had to get the small ones. Hell, those were the only ones they had in the damn snack vending machine. It was a good thing she at least had some soda. The thought of doing something important still lingered in her head, but as if she'll even bother trying to remember. And then, it hit her right on the head. Looking up to a wall in front of her, it finally got her. Oh... Shit. She thought in realization. Yup, she remembered now. Ester was suppose to meet that red head girl on the first floor to give back her phone. God damn it, now it was just a lot of work to even get up and try to find the girl. Maybe she was trying to find Ester instead? Either way, this would get pretty stressful either way. Well, at least she didn't have to now. Instead, the girl found Ester. At least she didn't have to get up from her spot. Cracking a nervous smile, "I... got tired and took a break?" was her excuse; a bullshit excuse no one would believe, unless they were oblivious or just plain old stupid. Sadly, Ester didn't think this girl was stupid. One of the earphone then taken out of her ears, the girl demanded her phone back, which Ester did afterwards with a soft sigh. She didn't even get a chance to look back at all the songs played. Oh well. Getting up from the floor, Ester picked up her snacks. "Wanna just take a walk?" She suggested. Or run, if one of the faculty members step out of the lounge. MADE BY VEL OF GS
