Trees are standing tall Birds singing sweet music Songs of memory filled past
Yoko Hideki fifteen · Female · Japanese · Oboist - Hair: Yoko's hair, though naturally a very light blonde, one could consider it white if it didn't darken slightly in winter, has been dyed to a royal purple color. She has her hair cut so her longest strands come at the sides of her face, almost framing it, and they go to her shoulders. Her bangs hang over the top of her forehead, the center of the forehead being home to the longest parts of the bangs. The rest of her hair is cut down to her neck, just before it hits her back. She opts to wear two loose pigtails, one on each side of her face, and usually just leaves it like that. Though it's pretty thick, she doesn't do anything different than the average person in terms of taking care of it.
- Eyes: Her eyes are round, and are actually naturally purple. They have more of a mauve shade, and the shade is lighter than her hair.
- Face: Her face takes a slight oval shape and is averagely feminine. Her chin is pointed ever-so slightly, and her nose takes a soft edge rather than a pointy or sharp one. Despite having a large mouth, Yoko's lips are quite thin. Her eyebrows are incredibly thin, thankfully, so she rarely needs to have them done. Yoko has a pale complexion.
- Body: Coming at about 5' 2" in height, Yoko weighs 112 pounds and is pretty thin. Most of her weight goes to her legs and a bit in her arms, but otherwise she's just lean and thin. She isn't very muscular, and her chest area is rather small. Still somewhat there, but nothing compared to many other girls.
- Clothing: Yoko enjoys wearing clothing that isn't too tight or too loose. In other words, she just enjoys being comfortable. She usually wears several shades of purple, but Yoko will occasionally branch out to pink, blue, or black. Her favorite thing to wear when it's cold or warm is her black and pink jacket, which has a rabbit eared hood attached to it. She'll always wear that jacket along with a long-sleeved shirt, and, on some days where she thinks she can get away with it, a dress or t-shirt. The summer brings heat, meaning no favorite jacket, and her style becomes slightly more tomboyish as she seeks to relieve herself from the heat with t-shirts and shorts.
appearance - General: Yoko is generally quiet to everyone at first, and she is sometimes not even able to look at them in the eyes. She'll be painfully polite and formal, referring strangers as miss or sir. After she warms up to a person just a bit, which happens after she decides whether the person is an asshole or not and when she knows their name, she'll be more open and cheery, probably annoyingly so. She'll end up being somewhat clingy until she realizes that would probably just scare a person away. Even in awkward settings, Yoko is always curious and tries to question everything, though she will shut up if someone tells her to. Overall, she's really sweet and is willing to check a lot of things out.

personality - History: Yoko's life before Fukui is a simple thing to tell. She simply was a shyer child, far shyer than most, and at times she wouldn't even answer her parents. Her mother, who was a cellist at the time, would simply remedy that by playing a lullaby on the majestic instrument. After each time, Yoko would eagerly ask when she could play it. Her mother simply shook her head and always just hugged her, and the subject was always forgotten.
It wasn't until she reached late elementary school that her mother realized she was serious about learning how to play an instrument. With an eager smile, she carried her daughter around all over the town, stopping at every music store they could find. At the very last stop, before her mother had decided to head home, Yoko stood next to the oboe. It had been hidden behind the cello and the saxophone, and it looked similar to the clarinet. She absolutely fell in love with it. Her mother hired tutors to let her get down the basics of embouchure and the scales, and then she hung around to play simple tunes with her child. Like every new musician, Yoko sounded like a dying whale. However, she eventually improved. By the time she could play complicated medleys and the like, her mother and father divorced each other. Her father won custody over Yoko while her mother won custody over her younger brother, who was far too young to separate him from his mother. Her aunt, on her dad's side of course, moved in, and that was that. That became her life. When she was old enough to apply, Yoko begged her father to allow her to come to Fukui. Her mother had once said it was a lovely school, and that she'd go there if she was Yoko's age. At first, he denied her that privilege. It was bad enough that she refused to stray from her dreams of being a musician, and he could just not get over that fact. His ex-wife had approved of it. So he didn't. Of course, the man wasn't that cruel. After realizing his daughter desperately wanted to go, he let her apply. After all, despite his lack of a heart, who was he to deny his daughter such a thing. - Family/Relatives
