SUPER-MASAYA-MODE ON!
Masaya 'Ivanna' Alonzo
Sixteen · Female · Filipino · STUPIDITY Drawing
- Hair: Masaya has incredibly dark brown hair with a straight look and a thin texture that rests right on her shoulders. Her hairstyle is simple - small bangs and letting her hair fly freely makes it cute on her. There are plenty of styles she could style them in, but it's rare for her to do so, since it takes too much time to fix. She can tie it to a small bun, a ponytail, pigtails...anything, really. Her bed hair can work, too.
- Eyes: This part of her face is what makes her emotions a problem. Eyes that are roughly the same color as her hair, big and round but seem to be blank all the time. As if there's no life in her eyes, just a solid dark brown. With almost the same expression, it's hard to tell her actual emotion she's currently expressing. Some expressions work, but with those eyes of hers she's often blank-faced.
- Face: Simple but cute. Those are the words that can explain how Masaya looks. A soft complexion, but she can allow herself to get a tan which is perfectly fine. It isn't obvious but she has chubby cheeks. Small button nose and lips, thin eyebrows just summarize the first sentence I just said.
- Body: Masaya is one of the small people in Fukui - she often claims to be 5'2" or higher but in reality she stands tall at only 5' flat. Not only short but is really lightweight. Anyone can carry her or whatever, she doesn't mind being touched or carried or simply poked at, she's touchable all the time.
Don't mistake her weight and height in determining how fit she can be. She looks slim, looks healthy, (no modest chest but the little A cup) but shoves in a lot of strength in her legs and arms. She can be seen upside down or in a position only athletic people can do, so she endures a lot of things like staying upside down for the rest of her life.
- Clothing: Her entire wardrobe consists of the school's uniform, but also every piece of clothing that just says casual everywhere. They'd look like home clothes, it's just entirely casual with the clothes that make her look laid-back all the time. She has no formal attire, considers casual as sportswear and sleepwear, and a bunch of costumes she rents or permanently owns.
appearance - General: ❝ People, uhm, know me for being happy. Which is true. I like smiling until the ends of my cheeks. Because I know there's some light at the end of the tunnel, a.k.a. happiness. I stay happy for a reason. This is why I also have a lot of friends, I like friends. I wanna bring my happiness to them.
I can always start the conversation. Even if it's small talk. I love to bring up any topic. I'm fine with a lot of things, honest. If you start the talk, or whatever, just go ahead. I go with the flow. It's alright. My imagination can take me anywhere, and we'll go anywhere with our topics.
But people look at me as a plain person, which I cannot disagree in. *sigh* But I have no complexity in myself, see? There's nothing I can do about that. I just don't wanna fail, both in what I can and in expressing my feelings to you guys. Just.. no.
...hey. Do you have an orange? ❞

- She isn't a lefty. Nor a righty. She's ambidextrous - often using her left to write and the rest of her 'stuff' with her right. It can go vice-versa anyway.
- Trilingual - Currently knows Filipino, English and Japanese. She says shes still working on speaking Japanese correctly, moreover fluently.
- Yay, another treeclimber! Anyone else likes climbing trees? No? okay.
personality - History: ❝ Masaya means happy in Tagalog. I'm happy, and I'll always stay happy until my life ends. No matter what.
I was born in Manila, Philippines, just me and dad (and our dog, Felipe of course) staying at home. Mom says she'll be gone for a while. Which, was a long while. I couldn't accept the fact that my mother abandoned me for some reason after all those years. But, anyway, it was just me, dad and Felipe. But dad was like, close to abandoning me; Just the fact that he walks kilometers away from home just to supply the family's needs.
So it was just me and Felipe.
Well of course I took care of him very well, other than that I stay beside with my friends who just live around the slums just like us, and I always happen to start most of the talk. I just.. like to make a lot of friends around the community, alright? They usually leave me though. Say 'they're busy' or 'I got something important'. To me that translates into teka lang. We're done. Not many of them come back like most would say. I come back to my house reading old books with torn pages and vandalized papers, burnt and dusty and overall dirty. I still read them. I can understand them, I can learn alone, probably with Felipe again but still. I can do it myself.
Dad comes home late night where I fall asleep, the dog doing his watchdog thing. Every morning he spares few minutes with me during breakfast, taking a small ounce of topics to gulp in. He added one time that he was finishing his studies in an art university, which sounds pretty cool. Wonder how far it is from home..
Once I got that piece of information he just happens to bring home leftovers of art materials. Short pencils, scrap paper, broken coloring material, he even got me a little table for me to study and draw. And I earned more respect for the man. He thought me the lessons he learned from the university, and I'd eventually catch up to his level. Probably.
I was 10 and I got a short notice about mom. It was a letter, she said she was an actress. As a kid I was supposed to be amused, but I wasn't. I'm eager to know where is she. So I replied back. The following week I got her letter, says she's at Japan. I asked dad about it, says he can't take us there. Especially Felipe. He was suffering some dog disease.
I turned 11 when I first met my mom in person. She was beautiful, I'll be honest, she looked professional in how she looked, but I guess what mattered was that she was here. Hugs here and there, including a small surprise by mom herself. Tickets for the whole family to go to Japan so we could all leave together. Except Felipe. He died.
Traveling to Japan I kept drawing Felipe over my paper, I wouldn't know exactly why. I just drew him all over again, in various artistic styles. Arriving at Japan was, wowzers, I could hardly keep my jaw in tact. Good thing I could teach myself how to speak Japanese, which I'm getting good at as of now. Lived for years until I was 16, when I was enrolled to Fukui High for my artistic ability.
As Masaya, I completely dedicate myself to Felipe and my family, for all honesty in a pursuit of happiness, and make more friends here in Fukui High. ❞ - Masaya
