blossom of snow A soft breeze swept through the land as Nana clutched her hands tightly against the railings of the roof. She looked out of Fukui Academy. It was such a beautiful day and the view itself was breathtaking. Nana smiled softly as she closed her eyes. A lot of interesting and fun things had happened since she entered the academy. She even got to meet a lot of really great friends. Nana enjoyed having her surrounded by people. If she kept herself busy, then she wouldn’t have to think of negative thoughts. Nana didn’t want to be a negative person. She didn’t want to be pitied and she didn’t want others to feel sorry for her. She tightened her grip on the railings. She wanted to be a normal high school student. She wanted to bring happiness to those she cared about. Nana took a deep breath as she took in the fresh air. She doesn’t know why she ended up on the rooftop, but she was glad that she came here. It was a nice place for someone to be alone. She wasn’t one for being alone for too long, but she supposed it was nice to get away from and have some time for yourself. Nana reached in her pocket and pulled out a crumbled picture and unfolded it, revealing a picture of her mother. It was one of the only pictures she had of her mother and it was her ultimate treasure. She wished she got to spend more time with her mother before she passed away, even if it was only a few years. If it wasn’t for this one picture, she would never would have known what she looked like. “I’ll make you proud mother,” she said to herself as she carefully folded the picture and placed it back into her pocket. She was going to achieve this dream not only for herself, but for her mother who died at such a young age. Nana was having the best time at her school…and he couldn’t help but wonder what other encounters she would meet. She was a first year, so she still had four years left. She was looking forward to it. Nana’s thoughts were quickly interrupted when she heard the door of the roof open. She quickly turned around to see who it could be. A frown was settled on her face as walked up the stairs to the roof silently. She didn't have friends, mostly because she was shy but she had learned to live with things like that. It was her problem that she wasn't brave enough to go up to people and say 'hi'. Maybe that was also the reason not many people approached her. She gave off that doll-like aura. She still resembled that porcelain doll her mother had turned her into. Ai still didn't understand her past all that well, nor why her parents divorced. It confused her greatly, but she was sure that one day she would find out. Well, she at least hoped so. Sighing after a moment, she opened the door to the roof, she hadn't expected anyone to be there. She was going to continue writing up here. Looking up she froze. It was a girl she had probably seen around somewhere.
Just from the fact there was another girl here other than herself, she let her cheeks burn and her heart beat incredibly fast. Cue the nervousness. "A-A-Ah..." she started out. Her stuttering on full blast. She was scared, really she was. She wasn't good with interacting with anyone. Though, it would be rude just to leave...or was it? She wasn't sure. "I-I-I d-duh d-duh d-didn't kn-know a-a-any o-one w-wuh was g-g-going t-t-to b-be..." she trailed off as she looked down. She was embarrassing herself, but she couldn't get rid of that atrocious stutter. Maybe she had gotten her point across? That's when it also hit her, she was screwing up her chance of having a friend! What was she doing? Feeling stupid, her cheeks burned a brighter shade of red. "S-S-suh s-suh s-sorry i-if I-I i-in...i-intruded!" she sputtered out not meeting the other girls gaze. Now she felt incredibly stupid! What was she doing? White hair fell into her eyes as she held her wrist tightly. She was making a fool out of herself. |

Hey N blossom of snow The girl that stood before her was short (but still a little taller than Nana) and frail looking, like if she was just touched, she would just break. She was a very cute girl. Nana started to say something, but the girl spoke first. She seemed nervous…almost scared. Nana felt herself blush slightly as she watched this girl. She was adorable! She was almost like a little doll and she loved it. She however didn’t want the girl to feel nervous or scared or whatever, it wasn’t as if she was going to bite her or anything. Nana sighed as she took a few steps forward. She didn’t want anyone to feel scared. If Nana could be that one person that people could feel safe with, then she would be happy. She didn’t want anyone to feel alone. Everyone deserved to feel loved. “Hey, calm down!” Nana pleaded with her , “It’s alright. It’s a free country, right? This rooftop is big enough for two people to be on. It’s really okay…there is no need to apologize.” Nana told her and gave her a friendly smile. Nana had found her next target. She stopped. Those words didn’t seem right, but that’s what she thought when she found someone she wanted to be friends with and this girl defiantly fit into that category. She wondered what happened to make this girl so nervous, or maybe was she always like this? Nana was never really shy, so she couldn’t really understand that part. “My name is Nana Akiyama, I’m a first year here,” Nana introduced herself in a soft and kind voice, not wanting to freak out the poor girl anymore then she seemed. She hoped she didn’t come out as creepy, but as genuine, because Nana was being that way. Nana wanted to reach out and touch the girl, but she didn’t want to do something to run her off, so she remained where she was. Actions, "Talk", Thoughts | ► tag Ai-chan!

Nana's words flowed into her ears like a melody, and the shy female felt compelled to look up at the other girl even if she still felt so nervous. It was obvious she hadn't angered the other girl, or upset her. Well...it seemed as it that was so. Even if she had said everything was alright and what not, she couldn't help that her nervousness stayed. She wasn't exactly good with people at all. Well, that was evident. Her cheeks stayed a rosy red the longer she looked into those bright eyes. They screamed genuine kindness, and that began to calm the doll-like girl. Taking a breath, she closed her icey orbs and reopened them a moment later. She managed a small nod, and soon she listened to the girl introduce herself. Wait...a first year? Ai was also a first year! So they were in the same grade...but she had never saw this Nana, before! Or maybe she had and she hadn't been paying attention. She tended to look at the ground as she walked. She should stop doing that, by the way. "N-nuh n-nice t-t-t-to m-m-muh m-muh m-meet y-y-you N-n-Na n-Na," she stuttered out, less frightened and nervous than she had been before as she saw the female was closer than she had been when she had walked in. She needed to keep that in control. Her stuttering, she really needed to fix that. If she didn't that would ruin any friendships she would have in the future, right? Right. It had to. Mentally stopping her thoughts of nonsense, Ai realized she had yet to introduce herself! Ah! She was so stupid! "M-M-Muh...m-my n-n-nuh nuh n-name i-is A-A-Ai Tsu-Tsu-Tsukuyomi." she finally introduced as her blush deepened into a darker shade of red. Then it seemed to click. "U-Uh...I-I'm a-ah a-ahlso...a f-fuh f-fuh first y-y-year.." she eventually said as she began to fiddle with her fingers that had been idle for too long. Curse this situation. |

blossom of snow “Ai Tsukuyomi, huh?” Nana said. “A perfectly cute name for such a cute girl,” she said with a giggle. Nana knew that this girl was nervous and she just wanted her to feel comfortable around her. Everyone should feel safe; at least that was her own thought. “You’re a first year, too. So I guess then we must have a lot in common,” she said with a slight laugh. This was one of the first times that Nana had communicated to someone that was her own year, it seemed like everyone else was older than her (which included her teacher) not that Nana minded, she was used to hanging around older people anyway, but it was nice to be around someone her own age. It felt somewhat easier. “So, Ai-chan,” Nana said in a cutesy way, “what are you studying here?” Nana asked her curiously. She liked to know everyone’s different hobbies and interest. After all Nana had several different interest besides just dancing, but that was her dream. She loved anything to do with music, she tried to play the violin at one point and she was a pretty good cook, but after everything was said and done, she just loved dancing more than anything. She wondered if her mother didn’t die or didn’t dance if she would have persuaded something else. Maybe a different art would have been her passion if her mother didn’t dance. “It’s really beautiful here, huh?” Nana asked, but not necessarily directed toward Ai-chan, or really anyone. She turned around and looked at the view as a breeze swept through the land. The area really was beautiful. It was much calmer then the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. It was so sincere and the school was amazing. The girls here had so many amazing dreams and were working on to make it true. It truly was inspiring. Nana turned around and smiled tenderly at Ai-chan.
