Hara Kitakami

Don't you shed even a tear.  Hara Kitakami Sixteen  · female  · maori-japanese   · dance Hair: Auburn-brown in color and without specific styling falls to Hara's waist.  Despite appearances it's actually quite full if not completely thick; it has a shine to it due to careful care on her part.  While rather plain she sometimes wears bobby pins to keep some of the hair out of her eyes. Eyes: Thanks to some European lineage on her mother's side of the family, Hara has rather striking green eyes.  They're large, expressive and according to some girls her best feature. Face: Fairly oval in shape, with somewhat masculine eyebrows and overall sharp features. Body: Hara is slender and athletically built owing to years of dance training.  Her height is on the taller side and combined with her sharp facial features gets her recognized as kind of a tomboy/prince type girl. Clothing: That whole tomboy/prince reputation Hara's got?  Her wardrobe doesn't help diminish it at all.  Used to a free range of movement she prefers loose, if occasionally feminine, tops accompanied by either leggings or trousers of some form or another.  Jeans and slacks take up an equal amount of space in her wardrobe.  It's likely that she owns not one dress or skirt which isn't required for some purpose.  Neither would she wear heels, preferring greatly the freedom of flats. appearance General: Hara may not look it but she's actually quite a positive and upbeat young lady, deeply wishing only the best for those around her.  Though her default expression can range from stoic to sour, she's always concerned about others' feelings.  To this end she does what she can to make sure girls around her know how appreciated they are - compliments, flirting comments and offers of assistance are just some of the ways she does this.  Generally speaking she carries herself confidently and elegantly, years of dance instruction making her very aware of her surroundings and movement.  Hara will only become confrontational when necessary to stick up for someone, and is known for putting others before herself. Hara is notably trilingual, being fluent in not only Japanese but also English and Maori! personality History: Hara's mother is of mixed Maori/European descent and noted for her writing talents, particularly for the stage; her father is a businessman from Japan, and Hara is their only child.  Though she spent her early years in Christchurch, New Zealand, it was inevitbale that she'd move to Japan with her parents.  Despite this she developed a strong network of friends through ballet - she was given lessons starting in first grade to correct some clumsiness, loved it and worked extra hard to learn all she could about it.  Even after moving to another coutnry she continued to practice, catching the eye of a company in Tokyo.  One of their dancers had a connection to Fukui and offered to sponsor Hara if she agreed to audition for the company upon graduation.  Thus was she accepted into the school, where she's grown into quite the... well, prince of dance, to use a nickname classmates have given her.
