blossom of snow The courtyard was rather empty this afternoon. Nana figured it was because a lot of people were at their afterschool activities and clubs. She would love nothing more than to be at the dance studio, but today they weren’t have any classes. Nana sighed in disappointment, because she was looking forward to her first day of class. She was a little nervous though. She knew the girls here at some real talent and she was beginning to secretly wonder if she could even compare to them. She was sure most of them were tall and elegant and probably been taking classes since they were little. Nana stood 4’8 and never took any classes, relying on herself to teach herself to dance. Nana leaned up against the railing of the small gazebo as she began to hum to herself.
An idea sparked in her head as she reached and took her cell phone out. She went through her music files until she found something she liked and placed the phone on speaker and put it on the railing, making sure it wouldn’t fall off. She closed her eyes as she focused on the tune of the music. It was light and airy and filled the gazebo. Nana got herself in potion and began to dance. It wasn’t a certain dance, probably more toward ballet than anything else. She liked all kinds of dances though, but ballet might have been her favorite. She leaped and swung around the gazebo, not paying attention if anyone saw her or not. Nana put her heart and soul to every movement she did. She followed along with the music, swaying and leaping, having her eyes closed at all times as to stay focused on what she was doing.
She felt free when she danced. Her whole life she was like a cage bird that could not escape and who could not leave. She was not living; she was just merely staying alive. But, the moment that she found that picture of her mother dancing and learned the true, her whole world changed and because of it she was able to break free from her prison bars and flee here that was safe from the scary world outside. Nana didn’t know what she would do without dancing, for she felt like that was the only thing to keep her sanity still in tact.

Kira looked as stern and emotionless as she typically did in the early afternoon of a Friday. Despite the fact that most teens her age would be relieved that the weekend was here- Kira felt indifferent about the matter. School wasn't much different then relaxing in her dorm was, though she couldn't exactly say that what she did counted as 'relaxing', exactly. When she was in class, in school, usually the light blonde was zoned out, thinking about something, or even nothing at all. She'd seemed to have been having a hard time focusing for awhile- up to the night in the field. Though it didn't often come to her, sometimes she just had to ask herself- "Is this all because of the accident? Was I always so spacey and so...emotionless?" Yes, despite what one might thing, there is a heart beyond the cold exterior of Kira Tsukino. However, somedays it seemed like even she herself had a hard time finding that bright spark of life that most humans had. Most of it by now had frozen over, and it didn't look like it was going to melt anytime soon.
Sighing once to herself in the most melancholic of ways, Kira wandered out from the school, following the trail of a few other students who were talking to each other as they walked. Some days Kira felt jealous of the girls like them- the people who had friends to chat with, and actually had the ability to say something back. Naturally, however, she typically put herself above it, and focused on things that she was actually good at. However little that was....The 17 year old had almost missed it as she was leaving the school. With her gaze looking towards the path straight ahead of her, Kira didn't know that there was anyone else around. At least, not until she could hear the music. The two girls that were chatting before had made a different turn than Kira herself, so it'd been at least three minutes of her walking off alone. But now, it seemed that this wasn't the case.
It was a short, blonde haired girl, dancing to her hearts content in a gazebo a little ways away from where Kira herself now stood. Face hard to read, she stood in place, her head turned towards the dancer. Though Kira found it a bit...different that someone would dance in public like that, then again, she didn't know much about how stuff worked today. Despite it being 4 longs years already, she still felt like a toddler, learning the ropes of life once again. But Kira doubted that this was normal, though beautiful, it undeniably was. The girl knew how to dance, she'd giver her that. Another thing that was notable was the fact that the blonde didn't even realize the older student just 15 or so feet away, watching attentively. Kira imagined that soon she would though, because as soon as her little performance was finished, she started to clap slowly, though still enthusiastically. Well, it was Kira's version of enthusiasm, anyways...
