oof,,, Even though she might enjoy school and learning, Riku always felt a wave of relief whenever the bell rang to demand a shift, a tune theme to the passing of time, each chime a promise the end of the day was drawing near. Or better yet, lunch was drawing near! One more class to go...
Uugh, she couldn't will herself to wait! As soon as her foot crossed threshold between classroom and corridor, Riku lets out an exuberant grumble to compliment the angry gurgle of her hungry stomach. Reaching into her purse bag, she pouts with puffy cheeks at a discovery. "Ah... I already ate all my snacks.."
It wasn't unusual for her to go through her entire supply before lunch, even if she did bring a whole lot. Well, she did share.. a little bit... Still! Riku was easily redirected from problem to solution, so without thinking she begins a quick beeline towards the direction of the closest vending machine. But because she reacts without checking her surroundings, she collides near painfully into the next student who tries to leave the classroom too.

Hit by an unknown force, that was considerably larger than her, Izumi stumbled, and fell face first, landing with a soft thud. She turned around, and stared up.
A blonde girl, who looked less than aware of what she was doing. Izumi continued to stare, her piercing purple eyes staring into the other girl's greens. Hang on, isn't she from my class? You complete, utter moron... Izumi's thinking stopped shortly, as she prepared to speak.
Harsh words, were they needed? Izumi wasn't in pain, but this was more than annoying to her. Theater class, consisting of Izumi and the others that she paid barely any attention to, Izumi being that odd shut-in who never seemed to want to be around anyone else, and whenever she spoke, it was either something brief, or a detailed description of some historical, or mythological, or fictional event she knew a lot about.
Izumi quickly jumped back to her feet, and pointed at the blonde in a slightly over-the-top fashion, her voice raised with false bravado. "You did that on purpose, didn't you? What, is today the day you finally decide to make your presence known with something like this, a direct attack on me physically? Why, I ought to..."
Izumi's energy ran out, as she just stared, her hand lowering. She proceeded to stumble and hit the wall, grabbing onto a railing to break her fall. "Not again, no no no..." A groan of annoyance sounded from the smaller girl, as she held a hand to her head.

an unintentional offense! Although it wasn't her intention, Riku sent the collision recipitant down into the hard floors. While she did stumble, the blond had managed to catch herself on the wall adjacent to the classroom door behind them, sagging forward slightly. Apparently a polar juxtaposition to her classmate, an abashed chuckle bubbles apologetically from Riku where the fallen felt the bright embers of budding rage.
Rubbing the top of her head and still chortling ever so softly past an embarrassed grimace, Riku stood up. "Ah, sorry about that!..." Opening her eyes, she's cut off by a piercing glare. No longer laughing and lowering her hand, an awkward smile pulls at the corner of Riku's mouth as she recognizes her classmate wholly whom she knew little about. She knew her name—Izumi Shiraishi—from attendance, and she knew that she was somewhat withdrawn and unapproachable and nothing at all like the loudmouth Riku who was constantly talking and goofing off in class.
Before Riku can speak, Izumi jumps up with wild accusations, but the blond only blinks and takes a confused step back, gripping the shoulder strap of her bag. Smile twitching and eyebrows turning up into her bangs, Riku opens her mouth to speak but is surprised and only squeaks as the blue one sways and topples into the wall rail. Hovering the arm which shot up reflexively to catch her, Riku flutters with slight panic. "Ah— Uh— Are— You okay?" Voice caught between a drawl and a stammer at first, Riku speaks again more calmly, though still flushed with concern, once the smaller has murmured to herself. "What's wrong, Shiraishi-san?"

Izumi's fall was a direct hindrance to what she was aiming to do.
Firstly, she wanted to get to her room and relax for what little free time she had left. Secondly, she wanted to scold Riku for bumping into her. Sure, it was harsh of her to just blow up on what could be a genuine accident.. but Izumi felt she'd been personally affected.
Her head was hurting again. Like that fall some time ago, it was enough to make her cry. But this was someone in her class, and Izumi did not intend on being seen like this in front of so many people.
Exhaling, and inhaling deeply, Izumi stood up to her full height, gripped the handrail tightly, and spoke. "You moron! Didn't you look where you were going?!" A fiery yell of anger and annoyance was Izumi's response to being asked if she was injured or not. Yelling was rare for Izumi, as she was mostly reserved. Exceptions like these were never seen in class, let alone her raising her voice at all in class.
"Pay attention to your surroundings, you absent-minded pig!" The cool, easygoing air of Izumi had given way to her anger. "Judging by how you act, I'll assume this isn't your first time knocking someone over." Letting go of the rail, she slowly stepped towards Riku, and stared up at her. "I am NOT okay! Do you know how much it hurts to fall on your head, or is yours too full of air to know what it feels like?" Crossing her arms, her melodramatic only kept going, and going, the heat of the moment blinding her.
