" hypnotized by drums / until forever comes / you'll find [me] chasing the sun. " HIMARI FUJIWARA SIXTEEN · JAPANESE · VOCAL PERFORMANCE
|
[li]Face: To say that Himari is baby faced wouldn't be inaccurate. Her other features -- furrowed brows and a sharp chin -- reminds others of a force not to be trifled with.[/li]
[li]Body: Himari is about 5'5"/167cm; slightly toned on her arms, but devoid of muscular definition most elsewhere. She's bottom heavy, with a middling/diminutive chest size. Her fingers are calloused and long.[/li]
[li]Clothing: Himari pairs red and monotone accents well. She prefers tees and blouses in the summer, fur coats in the winter, and varsity jackets at every other time of the year. She's never seen without a pair of oversized headphones, either hung on her shoulders blaring music at full volume, or over her ears to block off the world. Of course, she does abide by school regulations, but only whenever she happens to show up for classes (rarely).[/li][/ul][/div][/div]
appearance
- General
Himari is all bluster, a brazen loudmouth, with a bite of curiosity and overzealousness oft mistaken for confidence. Fitting into society's standards proves very much of a challenge to her because of this; she's one to yelp first and tone herself down later, cool-headedness a practiced intention than one to occur naturally. She's rather blunt, not good with drawn niceties and conversation, and tends to attract disdain from her brash attitude especially so from adults.
Even so, there are some points that curry her favor when interacting with her peers. Despite her rowdy appearance, she tends to know of a wide variety of subjects, making her appear wise or well-read from a conversation, or upon first glance. Her independence speaks much of responsibility, though to what purpose appears unknown; it speaks of Himari's tendency having been isolated in the past for her deviant personality.
When it comes to her attendance, Himari is barely there; either she dozes off in class or meets the bare minimum in order for credit requirement. Her grades speak in opposition of this nature, however, though not without the girl's credit -- she may not be seen in the library, but find her out in public on occasion and she'd be cracking down on her work studiously. It's also half the reason why despite the rumors that float about her disposition, she barely finds trouble on the streets to begin with.
- Summer | It's free time off from school for one, and it's a good excuse to stow away to the beaches for another. There's always been something about the ocean that lulls her into comfort.
- Fire | She's got a fascination with the light is all. When it comes to cooking, she can't help but over or underdeliver; the flames are too entrancing for her to keep an eye on the meal. She likes keeping the sun in her periphery, though knows better not to look directly into it, and during festivals, the fireworks, loud and pretty, make up the highlight of her evening. She's always wanted to camp with a large bonfire at least once.
- Artisanal Products | There's a heart in hand-crafted works, and Himari can see the love put into them through and through. Though she doesn't keep a lot of material goods around, her favourite type of item in this category are *wagashi*, Japanese sweets she'd buy if only to admire and taste them once.

[li]Things Himari Hates
- Impatience | Funny, because Himari can be someone who defines a sort of impatience with life. She doesn't work well under pressure and expectations, preferring freedom and a well-intentioned slow pace to complete her work.
- Disorganization | Definitely a case of pot calling the kettle black; Himari works better when things are kept orderly and tidy. She absolutely dislikes realizing she's not living by this habit and attempts to resolve them as soon as possible. Barring that, whenever she's given an assignment, project or task that looks to be haphazard by design, she struggles through them more than she would ever care to admit.
- Christmas | Have you heard of this habit where people lob a singular present together for both a person's Christmas and their birthday's gift? Himari's suffered it so many times from her own parents that it's left a sour taste in her mouth when the holiday is brought up. She tries to mask her disdain up with jokes, but it's plainly obvious her bias is still there. In accordance, she tries to avoid this with people she comes to know as close friends.

- Himari's Habits
- Kinetic displays of the music in her head -- feet tapping, mouthing lyrics.
- Running her hands through her own hair, or curling her fingers around a lock of it.
- Writing notes at the sides of her assignments and papers; they're often accurate, if she'd remembered her material properly.
- Carefree
- Outspoken
- Empathetic
[li]Himari's Negative Traits[/li]
- Unruly
- Mischievous
- Guarded
- Miscellaneous
- Himari's birthday's on December 17th.
- Himari doesn't often wear a cap. Most of her face claim's art depicts it so, though.
- Himari only averages B's and C's. She's more likely to show up on days with PE, Japanese and History, and will almost always show up for studio classes. English, Math and Science are her weakest subjects.
- Himari's favourite types of performance requires screams and growls. One might imagine she'd be best suited for metal, however it is one of her least favourite genres.
- Himari has her covers up on social media, as part of the portfolio submissions process to enter into Fukui Academy. Yes, they are easy to find. Yes, she will panic should it ever be mentioned to her face.
- Himari's main method of transportation is bicycles, but she rarely has the facilities to look after her own and must visit a local workshop for such caretaking.
personality
- History
It would be easy for Himari to describe her parents with a singular word: [Neglectful]. Ever since she was born, their busy lives in Tokyo, the big city, had left her on her lonesome, looked after by passing caretakers. From grandparents to aunts and uncles, she'd never known reliability in her family as she was growing up, and thus became self-independent, relying only on her parents for monthly income.
When she was younger, she used to leave her home to hang out with friends. When they were busy with their own lives, she'd lie about them and make up an excuse to run amok the city. In her hometown of Seki, Gifu, her neighbours would definitely remember a kid in red soaring through the streets on a bike, hurried one way or another. In truth, she was looking for an escape in one of two places: fishing by the lakeside or venting her frustrations in a karaoke box. As she gained autonomy and her friends rallied around their newfound independence, the latter seemed to take prevalence in her life.
It was no surprise to her extended family and friends then that she'd gotten into Fukui, on both accounts of her dedication to singing and her wishes to expand her world. She'd even pleaded with her school's faculty, bartered with what she could gather and held a responsible demeanor for a whole year in attempts at an appeal for recommendation letters. She'd forgone hopes of a scholarship to attend, banking on her parents' credit to enroll, but it came at their frustration, who'd grill her caretakers on reports of her academic performance while they were away; the field of humanities were one of their last wishes for their daughter they'd never paid attention to. Nonetheless, Himari seems unconcerned by their pressuring, delighting too much in the fact that she'd be harder to contact, now that she wasn't present in most of her family's periphery.
Her closest relative moving to Fukui City with her, an older cousin, was all they needed as a lifeline to remain in touch with their shifting star.

[li]Face Claim: FATE GRAND ORDER, Oda Nobunaga (Summer) claimed by <NIGHT>[/li][/ul][/div][/div]
background
- Grade Level: Second
- Future Plans:
Voice acting is the most likely route she'd take. Despite there being dedicated courses for such training, her preference for singing was nigh unbeatable. Himari hasn't thought much in way of working otherwise, with the rise of technology allowing her career to occur across the internet.
With regards to love, she's never seen it under the light of commitment; at best, she toys around with it to get a rise out of her peers, and shies away once it gets too serious for her liking. It doesn't stop her from yearning, however, and perhaps one day she may have an accomplice in her antics, or to act as another's in their own.
