School Entrance Courtyard - Once more, spring has returned, and the cherry blossoms that line the central courtyard have bloomed again. Beneath the trees that line the paths in the central courtyard, students and staff have started to gather. Some use the trees as their muse, others as a means for relaxation. And amidst the crossroads...who knows who one might meet next?
Asuwa River Park - The cherry blossoms that line the riverbanks of the Asuwa River have also bloomed, showering the sidewalks with their brilliant petals. The riverside Penguin Café seems to be serving a few seasonal items as well, which naturally have attracted more than a few students looking to snack between their schoolwork. Students and residents have gather to celebrate Hanami as well.
Fukui Mountainsides - The Asuwa Shrine is open year-round, and while there are no specific festivities held for Hanami, the grove of cherry blossoms that line the road up to it have found themselves guests who want a more secluded place to enjoy their beauty. Rumours abound of a special grove of trees with a waterfall, said to hold the powers of good luck to all who find it...
Recreational Areas - Over the winter months, the Gardening Club was busy planting and tending to new flowerbeds. With spring finally here, all their flowers have blossomed beautifully. While club members are keeping busy maintaining the flowerbeds, the gardens are now open for all students to relax in. What encounters await within the blooming fields?
Music and Theatre Arts Building - While preparations for the upcoming Film and Music Festivals are already in full swing across campus, the Music and Theatre Arts building has settled into a familiar sense of eager panic. The sounds of music fill one half of the building and voices of rehearsing actors fills the other. The intramural nature of the the events results in students from other departments mingling with the Theatre and Music students, creating new opportunities.
Upcoming events

Given the start of the new academic year, there is a lull in the events that Fukui Academy as new students acclimate to their new environment. That doesn't mean there is a lull in activity - on the contrary, the spring season is full of planning and preparations for the two upcoming events, especially from upperclassmen who have been working during the winter on their portfolios to present in the summer. Not that first-years, should they be talented or ambitious enough, are excluded.
The Summer Film Festival - Run as a joint project between the Theatre, Literary, and Visual Arts departments the Summer Film Festival showcases several productions created by groups of students rather than a singular show. There's no central theme; students are encouraged to make films in any genre they see fit, from documentaries to movies to music videos, though during the festival films will be grouped into genres. The festival spans three days, starting on a Friday, with multiple screens set up across campus, along with within the Theatre Arts auditorium. In order for their film to be showed, students must submit their work and are assigned a time slot.
The Summer Music Festival - Of the seasonal events that the Music Department organizes, the Summer Music Festival is the only one that focuses on smaller ensembles. Performers range a wide breadth of genres: string quartets, jazz ensembles, light music bands, acapella and choirs, and even the Idol Research Group making their annual performance. The festival spans three days, starting on a Friday, with an assortment of stages scattered across campus along with the auditorium in the Theatre Arts building. Students must apply for a specific time slot on a stage, and unsurprisingly, the larger stages are coveted. In the end, though, it is up to the teachers to assign slots, based on samples sent to them as part of the application.
