The clock had just struck noon, and Ayano had just finished cleaning the dormitory room. While the room itself would ordinarily be kept tidy, Ayano had heard from the school not too long ago that she would be sharing her room with another first year transfer student, and Ayano being the person she was, she wasn't the type to leave the room in a state anything short of perfect.
Of course, Ayano had only moved into the room a few weeks ago, so there was very little of her own stuff in the room. All there really was were the essentials. The kitchen was equipped with everything a regular person would need for cooking. Nothing that a specialist would only have, but certainly enough to be able to make almost anything. However, Ayano largely only made traditional foods thanks to her upbringing, so there was a lack of ingredients for more western cuisine.
The living room itself had little more than a sofa, a coffee table, and a moderately sized television. The television was of course HD, and 30 inches big. However, besides the TV itself there weren't any other devices around the TV. There was a bookshelf, but rather than having manga like you would expect of most students, it was filled with textbooks for classes and several musical scores for the violin. Finally, a music sheet stand and Ayano's violin case by its side. There were some ornaments and decorations dotted about the room, but nothing too fancy or eye catching. The only thing that may have been eye catching was how spotless the room was, and how carefully placed everything had been.
As for Ayano herself, she made sure her own appearance was as perfect as the room itself. Dressed in the school's uniform, she made sure it was in perfect condition, and even took care in how it was worn. Ayano was sat on the sofa, reading one of the textbooks for her class. While she had been told she would be getting a room mate, she wasn't told anything more specific than the day her room mate would arrive. In other words, if worse come to worst, Ayano could be sat here waiting all day... Which is exactly why she decided to read a book. That way, when her room mate did arrive, she could immediately direct her attention to her new room mate while at the same time, not being stuck bored doing nothing for the entire day.
Naturally, Ayano couldn't help but wonder what kind of room mate she would be having. Ayano, herself, was still very new to Fukui Academy, and was still very unfamiliar with the students attending. As long as it wasn't a delinquent or someone particularly loud, Ayano would be happy. Hopefully it would be someone who played music, at least then they would have something to talk about. Although, even for Ayano, it was difficult to keep herself from feeling nervous. It was the first time she would be living in paired in the same room as a stranger, so of course she was both excited and worried.
