That isn't to say she isn't capable of willing her way through interactions and putting up a friendly front, but most of her attempts ring somewhat hollow, because that's exactly what she is. However, she has a varied set of interests, as well as about 12 years of military experience under her belt, and she's fairly good at her job. Cress likes to act cool and calm, though when she does manage to have emotional responses she tends to not really know what to do with them. She can also come across quite fickle, and at her worst, has a passive aggressive streak a mile wide. She tries, however, to restrain her worst traits. She has been the Vice Principal for 3 years. APP + TRACKER "lieutenant-commander anezka" is not her name on the campus, but she certainly will twitch if you call her that. she doesn't speak much about her history in the army - but then again, she doesn't speak much about herself at all. irritating her is easier than it seems, but irritating her enough to make her do something about it is a difficult affair. likewise, becoming her acquaintance is easier than it seems, but becoming her friend is much more difficult. not out of dislike or a desire to be alone, though. as much as she does like being the nice person everyone barely minds, she has a harsher side - and she doesn't exactly like having nonsense going on at her school. problem students gain her ire - mostly because they get in the way of her actually serving out her obligations. the upside to being terrible with her own emotions is that she tends to have a clear, somewhat logical, and almost pragmatic view of most issues. her advice could be valuable, if you wanted to seek it for some reason. she's probably tried all manner of silly things - so if your character has a hobby or two, they might have something to talk about! cress is something of a busy bee overall, and she does count occasionally checking in on the campus and even other faculty members as a part of her duties outside of being holed up in her office doing a bunch of paperwork. so we can have threads all manner of places!

for those shadows, that keep on crawling out from under - << THE PANIC OF THIS SOLITUDE ☾ cressiel has never really experienced the four letter L word, or the longer and more awkward R word, so plots involving that will be super interesting (because they're probably going to be trainwrecks.) cressiel has a bad habit of looking for things that she thinks will 'fix' her, initially clinging to it and then inevitably being disappointed when it doesn't serve to do that. because nothing can actually do that for her, but she hasn't realized it yet. so if that doesnt throw a bit of a wrench in things, well... whoever it is is a good person. overall though i'd love to roleplay some friendships, or any manner of things really! i can't imagine her getting along with everyone, so it could be nice to throw some people who get under her skin into the mix. people who could give her an excuse to go have "fun" someplace would be great as well. people who can introduce her to new things or new experiences, it's all good. cress would also be alright with helping out some students as much as she can. whatever works!
