i am not interested in fulfilling borrowed dreams ❝ Komachi smiled from the corner of her mouth as she drank her bottle of tea. The tailor wasn't sure why seeing Valerie blush was so enjoyable, but Komachi took in every moment of it. "No, I don't have to do it. But I want to," Komachi said excitedly as she enthusiastically capped her bottle. "I mean, it's practical for me. I get to practice making stuffs. I get to hang out with you more. And..." The confidence in Komachi's face seem to suddenly freeze up as she trailed off. "And..." For a few moments longer, the brown-haired girl seemed to move in slow motion, her mouth agape as her mind tried to keep up with her words. Suddenly, she twisted off the cap of her tea bottle and took another drink before almost angrily closing it again. "Ah, nuts, what am I thinking..." Komachi said with a frustrated growl. "I ain't like me to make these dumb excuses." She glanced away from Valerie for a moment before looking to the green-haired girl again, a more serious expression on her face. "I do want to make something for you. I've made something for all my friends back in Tokyo." Komachi's voice was much more muted, all of her previous energy suddenly...gone. She looked out across the valley and leaned back agaist the wall of the bus stop shelter. "And I want to include you as part of that group. But honestly...I'd like to just be around you more." The distance sound of engines pulled Komachi's attention, and she looked over towards the bus that approached and away from Valerie as she continued. "I had fun today. Thank you. I hope you did too, and that I didn't screw up too bad." It seemed like the bus deliberately moved as slow as it possible could towards the bus stop, as if trying to keep Komachi trapped in the awkward feelings she was holding as long as possible.

i am a flower quickly fading Valerie wasn't sure why this was such a difficult conversation, even with her being given something free. She normally was far more composed, far more. Komachi had just been making excuse after excuse, before finally coming clean, "I... suppose we've just been reflecting each other's awkwardness." she mentioned, "That's all I can think of."
She blushed deep, "A-ah, thank you." she stuttered, "I... appreciate it. I admit, I didn't have many close friends back home." Not like she'd had the time for it back then.
As the bus pulled in, Valerie stepped onto the first step. She briefly looked back to Komachi, before she briefly turned around and extended her free hand, absent-mindedly offering to help her friend onto the first step bus without really thinking about the subtext.
About a half moment later, she realized what she was doing, and blushed slightly, though her hand stayed extended.

i am not interested in fulfilling borrowed dreams ❝ Reflecting each other's awkwardness. Sure, Komachi could buy that, but following that line of thought, there ought to be a source, right? Yet, trying to decypher it all was beyond what the tailor was capable of; she dearly wished for Yuki, or even Misha (that was indeed how desperate Komachi had gotten) to make sense of it all. But finally, the bus pulled in front of them. Yet somehow, Komachi felt extremely sluggish and looked ahead to see that Valerie had made it to the step first. The tailor blinked in surprise at the hand that was offerred to her before taking it and stepping onto the bus with the green-haired girl. How they found a seat was all a hazy blur for Komachi - they had arrived on separate buses and it never crossed the brunette's mind that they would potentially be sitting together on the way back, let alone in the same bus. Still...having a seat beside her friend wasn't a bad thing, Komachi reasoned, leaning back into her chair looking out the window and watching the cityscape slowly come into view. Her mind drifted to Tokyo and her old friends, slowly closing her hand and feeling a surprising warmth still in it. Sure, Yuki had pulled her up by hand before...but never in the way Valerie just did. It was always Yuki leading the way and Komachi having to catch up - not that Komachi minded the guidance. This time was different, and the tailor found herself no longer caring why; even though Komachi had enjoyed her time in Fukui, it seemed like for the first time since she arrived, she was happy. And for now, that was enough for her. @tagsomeone ● notes: ● 000
