Better than last year, I'm surprised Kurou thought to herself as she looked around. The party was loud and vivacious with hundreds of people crammed in the large suite condo. This dude was loaded and always hosted fantastic parties, Kurou was thankful she could slip inside with some friends of hers. It wasn't far off campus but she was driven here anyway, and she would certainly need a ride home by the end of the night. But that was for later thinking. Now the party was just getting started. The DJ was playing only the best while glowing light reflected the wall and dark faces of the crowd. Kurou danced and acted rowdy herself, enjoying every minute. It couldn't get better than this. A while on she was continuing her dancing and had a couple drinks in her. Accidentally she misplaced her footing and bumped into someone behind her rather hard. The pink-haired girl turned fast and looked who it was, wondering if she should run, apologize, or pick a fight. There stood a girl with short blonde hair and a tough look to her that reminded Kurou of her own. She didn't seem like someone to fear, so running and picking a fight were out. She was about to mumble a sorry when she remembered - oh right! She doesn't apologize. Silly her, she almost forgot. "Watch where you're going," she said with a head nod. As to prove it was in good spirit, Kurou added a smile after her statement and stepped closer. "I'm Kurou," she started, "Hey... have I seen you somewhere before? You go to Fukui?" The tough looking chick did have a familiar aura about her, like she'd seen her in a voice class before.  The music was simply, amazing. It filled her up to her very core. The bass resonated throughout her body and she could swear the floor was pulsing. Maybe it was the alcohol in her system, she didn't know. The blonde shook her hips, threw her arms up in the air and loved how this song made her body move. This was one hell of a party in Rei's opinion. Sure she has been to a few parties better than this, but right now...this was a pretty killer party. A few questionable giggles came from her small frame and she smirked for a moment. She needed a drink, yeah..that would be her sixth but she could hold her liquor!
Right when she was about the step off the dance floor, she found that she got bumped into. She would've lost her step if she wasn't so light on her toes. Turning around she was prepared to sock whoever did that in the jaw, but seeing who it was she blinked. This...pinkette was someone that interested her already, sure just from looking she became interested. Chuckling, she gave her signature smirk. "I could same the same damn thing you." she said placing a hand on her hip as she looked at the other person..who looked like a guy. He/She was about seven or so inches taller than the five foot female, that didn't really matter though.
"Kurou eh? Names Rei and yeah I go to Fukui, second year." she casually introduced as she glanced over to the side to see her guitar right where she had placed it, under a table hidden from the normal people's eyes. "You're pretty hot." she winked flirtatiously. Looking her up and down, she was right. Unlike herself, Kurou was pretty clothed. Rei, however, was only wearing a black bra, an opened leather vest with chains and a short pleated red skirt. Her shoes were regular flat combat boots. Sure she wore acessories but that didn't matter all that much at the moment. "Nice ta meetcha, cutie." she purred.

"You're not so bad yourself, hm." Kurou eyed the shorter blonde and looked her up and down. Blue eyes scanned over her exposed skin and the very little dark clothes she wore. It was easy to say this girl was sexy and Kurou was immediately attracted. The fact that she winked and flirted back was also capturing her interest. There was no doubt that she was the type of girl Kurou would like to take home, and surely she would try, but it was still early in the night. The bass was just getting heavy and the music was slowly turned louder with each song. She felt the need to be back on the floor again, the drinks in her were kicking in. "Come dance?" Kurou reached in to grab the girl around her thin waist and pull her to the dance floor. Although asked like a question, it was more of a demand. She would never take no as an answer. The music was infectious and she found it easy to dance and feel her heart race with the songs. Dancing along side this new companion she made so suddenly was enjoyable - better than dancing alone or in an unknown crowd of faces she couldn't see. The girl let her mind go blank as she danced and kept close to the attractive blonde. A while passed and the time seemed to be going faster. A song she was familiar with came on and before she realized it she was singing out loud. Her low alto voice matched sync with the lyrics and she belted it with accuracy and a twinge of her own style. Her favorite thing to do - let go of her voice and be loud. The music still masked her voice, but she was surely heard to the few surrounding her. She didn't give a shit, this was a fantastic party and she would party her way. She really didn't get a chance to answer as a hand snaked around her waist and pulled her in. Rei didn't mind this at all, believe me, she didn't. The female, instead rolled her eyes at the demand. What other plans she had were forgotten as she danced alongside the taller girl. What she called dancing was what normal people did in clubs, grinding, rubbing, and that's what the blonde did...if only a couple of times. She wasn't in any way shamed of her actions. She was a flirt, and she loved this song. As a matter of fact she felt like singing along. She would've if Kurou hadn't started singing first. When she heard that voice, she almost stopped dancing all together. Woah.
Kurou had talent, that much was obvious. Rei grinned and just let her sing and giggled when she got flirtatious winks every now and then. You know what screw it! She couldn't help but sing along! Her soprano like voice blending almost perfectly with the alto. She hadn't sang in a while and she was glad that her voice hadn't deteriorated or anything. She would have hated that so very much. You just don't know.
The song was one she enjoyed, and she was having so much fun at this moment. Rei had never met a stranger like Kurou before and she was glad that she had decided to come to this party, she may not have met the third year otherwise.
As she sang with Kurou, she realized this would be great for her dream! Now if only they could get on that stage and she could play her guitar. But what other song would they know together? She knew countless songs, so many. But would she even be willing to get on stage wit her? She didn't know and this made everything so complex. Rei wasn't sure what she would do, but she had to perform tonight. She had too. She always performed at parties and she always brought her guitar. Trying not to show her obvious dismay, she stopped singing and just continued to dance beside her newly found companion. She hadn't thought of one song in particular. 'Tokyo Rock City'. NOTES LOL! Kurou danced on as the night lengthened. The music started to numb her ears with the volume and the alcohol numbed the rest. The little sanity that still lived was enjoying every second of the lasting party. She felt lucky to have the blonde cutie near her for so long, and her style of dancing was enjoyable to say the least. Kurou admired a lot about her, and the fact that she went to Fukui made her wonder if she was a musician too. From the looks of it she was dressed like one, but who knows. "Ayyyeee everyone," Over the loud microphone the DJ's voice could be heard. He dimmed the volume just as one song ended and another one started. A few people from the back boo-ed, but he didn't seem to want to bring the music back up just yet. "We're gonna do something a liitle different now. A bit of Karaoke, if you will." More boo-ing. "Aye, come on. None of that," he grimaced at the routey people who clearly lacked interest in anything other than dance music. "Do we have any-" The DJ could barely get the words out of his mouth before the mic was snatched away from his mouth by who other than Kurou. "I'll take that," she smirked at his appalled face. Just when she didn't think the night could be more enjoyable a chance to perform was presented. Of course she took it - basically stole it - and would make sure these unfamiliar faces would never forget it. "What song..." The DJ murmured to her as the crowd waited. Without responding, Kurou's eyes hit the crowd and searched out Rei. The short girl was hard to see at first, but when they locked eyes Kurou flicked her head in a motion for her to come up. At the sudden musical volume decrease, a scowl was placed across her face. This wasn't fair at all. She had came to party and if the DJ wasn't going to comply to this...she would be forced to leave. However, her interest was piqued as she heard the words coming out of his mouth. Karaoke?
Rei let a smirk shine across her face as she chuckled a bit. Well I guess things would obviously be a little more lively. Her blue eyes were about to turn to Kurou when she realized that the girl wasn't anywhere in sight. Had she been ditched? Uncharacteristically, a frown was placed on her face. She had just started to like her too. Oh well, she couldn't dwell on it any longer. She looked back up at the stage and her eyes widened. So that's where she had gone!
She was going to perform? By herself? The blonde was going to speak out before Kurou motioned for her to get up there to. A mischievous grin etched on her features as she held up one finger and moved towards the right. This was her chance, the chance she had been waiting for! The female got out the crowd and grabbed her guitar. She took it out the bag and rushed to hop onto the stage. "I'm ready for whatever now." she whispered to Kurou after hooking up her precious electric.
Rei didn't know what song they were going to sing, but she pretty much knew almost every song. Well, she listened to music and if she was going to be a musician she had to know a plethora of songs, otherwise it wouldn't be nice would it? No. "Let's go!" NOTES |
