The administration of the school was almost infamous at this point for its tendency to shuffle room arrangements. Sure, you could make sure to stress you liked your current arrangement, but if you didn't make a fuss, business as usual happened.
Sophie had kept her dorm reasonable, so she wasn't in any hurry to tidy up before Nikki came. The name stuck out though. Sophie had inquired, though she'd learned the other girl was of mixed heritage. A bit disappointing, if only because she had a perpetual mild strain of homesickness, but meh.
At the moment, Sophie was... sort of just lounging about. Her math homework laid half-complete on the coffee table, the siren song of television having lured Sophie. It would get done in time. But not now.
Her dorm was pretty ordinary. There was a poster from a game that Keke had introduced her to, but like her, the marks of cute and boyish were balanced to well-between tomboy and girly girl.
