Obligatory Joke on 'Steamy' (Open to anyone)

To say it had been a long day would be a bit of an exaggeration. Actually, it was only a long last few hours, and that was entirely her own fault for practicing so long. But either way, Kirika was worn out from all of it, and there was no better cure for that than a dip in the hot springs. Truly it was some kind of divine intervention that there was a hot spring resort so close to her new school.

She made a fair bit of noise as she approached the hot springs, just to alert anyone who might be around that she was there. It seemed to be especially steamy today (or maybe it was always like this), so she couldn't tell if anyone was. Then, as she reached the hot springs, mostly naked without a care in the world for that fact, she stepped into the hot water and slowly lowered herself in. She sank in until the water was up to her shoulders, fully submerging the arms that were now so sore.

"Ahh, so much better," she said, letting out a long, satisfied sigh. Hot water was the original miracle drug. This, Kirika was sure of, and would hear no argument against it. It felt so good that she wasn't even bothered by being almost naked in a public place where there could be and probably were other girls around. ...Actually, that wouldn't have bothered her anyway. The idea of being embarrassed by it was lost on her.

It was the best effort she could make to prevent an almost inevitable nosebleed from happening due to the heat. Public baths weren’t usually Caia’s thing, but she could admit that they were relaxing, especially compared to the situation she had going on in the dormitory. It was nice to be able to soak in peace and quiet without having to worry about anyone waiting for their turn after you. She crossed her arms and propped them up on the edge of the bath, staring out at the tall wooden fence surrounding the hot springs, essential spaced out at this point. Fortunately for her, no one had been inside when she came, despite it being so close to where the school was located. Not even any of the other locals were present, which was even better. With fellow students she’d have to worry about playful girls splashing around and being a little too chatty while she tried to relax. There was the plus side of seeing cute girls though. With locals, however, she ran the risk of running into nude old ladies and having to explain that she was indeed a female. Caia chuckled to herself at the thought and turned to press her back up against the wall, sinking a bit lower to submerge more of her body in the water. Just as she did, she could hear someone causing a stir outside of the hot springs area where she was, and she cringed at the thought of who it might be. Some poor, disturbed office worker who had a bad day? A sour old lady? Maybe a mother of 3 and her flock of unruly children. Either way, Caia wasn’t exactly looking forward to her relaxation being interrupted. It was fun while it lasted, she thought, but this was a public place after all. When the door finally opened, Caia sank even lower in the water, submerging her chin. Through the steam in the area, she couldn’t see much when the person first approach. Just some red, and the form of an obviously naked woman. Slim, and no kids. Caia was relieved, especially since the person had quieted down once they got inside. The woman stepped into the water, and judging by her relieved reaction, she was just there for some relaxation like Caia was. Even with this confirmation, she couldn’t help that she was still curious about exactly who she had the pleasure of sharing the hot springs with tonight. Caia squinted her eyes, keeping them locked on the woman even as the steam subsided a bit. It was a girl, who looked a bit familiar. Possibly someone from her school. But Caia hadn’t talked to the girl before for sure. Even if she was bad with names, she would have remember the encounter. Oh, someone was here. It took Kirika a moment to notice, but the steam started to subside a little bit after she got in. As it did, Kirika caught sight of the hot spring's other occupant, a young girl with short hair. Somewhere close to her age, if she had to guess. Probably a student, which meant most likely another Fukui student. Seemed to be quite slender too, from what she could see. Kirika mentally reminded herself not to stare, though. She was pretty shameless in her inclinations and she certainly did appreciate seeing the body of another woman, but she was no creep.

Although, the hot spring's other occupant didn't seem too inclined to show the same courtesy. Several seconds passed in silence, during which Kirika noticed that the other girl hadn't taken her eyes off Kirika at all. To most people this would have been pretty off-putting (not to mention rude), but Kirika made no indication of being bothered by it. Rather, she eventually smiled and said "Enjoying the view? You do seem to be staring a lot."

Not that Caia had much of that anyone, or at least, not when it came to this sort of privacy. Besides, with the way the water was reflecting light, she didn’t have the opportunity to take anymore peeks. By good luck, the red haired girl’s tone didn’t sound as if she wanted to beat her to a bloody pulp, but she decided against pressing her luck. Snickering, the dark-skinned girl leaned back against the wall of the bath and propped her arms up on the sides of it, allowing her gaze to break from the girl. ”My apologies, ma’am. It’s just that you’re so alluring,” she said, only teasing to a degree. For what it was worth, she was attractive, but that wasn’t why she had been staring. So much for not pressing her luck. Caia let out a sigh and let her eyes drift closed in an attempt to relax. But of course, it was hard to ignore someone she was literally sharing a bath with. That was one of the reasons she very rarely visited places like this. Only about a minute had passed and Caia found herself staring at other girl again. She couldn’t shake the feeling that she had seen the girl before, which made her want to converse with her even more, but by now. "Ohhh?" Kirika gave the girl a thin smile as she answered. Playing right to her heart, was she? "Aww, that's really sweet of you." If the other girl thought she sounded like a pervert, it was clear that Kirika neither minded nor objected to her staring. Instead, she shifted herself up a bit in the water, both exposing more of her body and trying to put herself at an angle where it wouldn't be as hard to look with light reflecting off the water.

And sure enough, Kirika noticed the girl staring again little more than a minute later. Come to think of it, had she seen her before? She definitely seemed like a student, so she had probably seen her around at school a few times. Ah...now she was staring. Oops. But if the other girl was going to stare, then it was only fair that she be able to do the same right back. But if Kirika was going to do that, then she might as well pay her a compliment as well. "You're not so bad yourself, you know."

This was getting interesting all of a sudden. Usually perverts got beaten and kicked out of places like this for staring, but her gazes, even though they were more at the girl’s face than anything, were actually welcomed. And then, encouraged it seemed. Yep. Totally a lesbian, she thought to herself. Things like this only happened in dirty videos and comics for her until today, but no matter how unbelievable it was, she wasn’t complaining at all. Caia remained attentive and unflinching as the other girl shifted about, exposing more of her body. It wasn’t hard to attract her through having a nice appearance, but the other girl was doing a praiseworthy job in provoking her. Even if the steam wasn’t going to give her a nosebleed, she would probably end up having one eventually if the girl kept up her behavior. Maybe this was meant as a challenge, she thought. It was usually rare for Caia to be on the other end of the teasing. Even with other lesbians, the Japanese girls that she had been around in Shiga were usually more coy and reserved than the red headed girl seemed to be. Or at least when they were around her age, they were. This girl was probably just playing games. Kirika missed the smirk, but noticed where the other girl's gaze went. If what Kirika had done had been a challenge, then that reaction could easily be taken as a clear acceptance of it. But no, Kirika was a pretty simple person. She liked girls, she liked looking at girls, and she had no problem with them looking at her in return. Very simple. Completely shameless. Still, with how the other girl was reacting, she wanted to get a little closer. It was a risky sort of idea, that could get her in trouble if she was misjudging her, but Kirika decided to go with it anyway.

Also, she'd been about to introduce herself, but maybe for the moment it was better if they didn't have names. Just to be on the safe size. So, without another word, Kirika shifted closer, to where she could see her better. Strange, she seemed familiar, but other than 'probably a student' she still couldn't place it. Still, Kirika was enjoying the view. Although, they needed something to talk about with this girl, and her lovely dark skin and-ah, that was a start. "You don't seem like you come from around here. Where're you from?"

Exotic, right?” Caia laughed, to some extent joking in her question. People asked her where she was from all the time and she couldn’t say she was tired of it. She normally didn’t like to stand out, but it was always a treat hearing people try to guess where she was from. No one ever got it right, because even in the Philippines, she was “exotic”. That was one of the effects of being biracial. Caia took the opportunity she got from the girl questioning her, and her own attempt at moving closer, to make her way over. If she needed more of an excuse, the draft hitting her was becoming a little uncomfortable. She waded her way across the bath, turning to lean back against the side once she reached it. She was sure to keep somewhat of a distance in between her and the other occupant. Just because she had extended a metaphorical hand to Caia by making small talk didn’t mean they were now playmates. She was still very much in a position to end up leaving in handcuffs if she got too comfortable with the redhead, lesbian or not.
