Alright, so. Day one. No biggie. That's what Natalie kept telling herself to keep her nerves down. And it worked, sorta. It might have made her feel better to just find a charging station for her laptop and immerse herself in the ambiguous friendship of the internet, but that didn't seem likely. At least not until she got into her own dorm room. She was told she'd have a roommate that would be moving in today too, but she had no idea who she'd be looking for. There were tons of girls here. In fact, largest girl population she'd ever experienced in her life. Not that she really had a problem with it or anything. Boys could be so childish sometimes, no matter what age. Girls were...a little easier to talk to.
Dragging her small duffle bag up to the dorm room she was given a key for, she soon found her mind wondering what her new roomie would be like. Would she be nice? Were they both new? Would they get along? Was she older, younger? Where was she from? Lots of things she'd surely have to ask her when she met her, that was for sure. Dropping her bad down in front of the door as she shoveled her key out of the deep pockets of her light blue jeans, she shoved the key in the keyhole and turned it, hesitation before turning the knob to open the door. What if she was already inside?
"There's no reason to be nervous or anything. She's just...a person. Just a regular person, Nat. Quit being such a baby," she told herself as sort of a little pep talk. Putting on her best smile, she turned the knob and threw the door open, nudging her bag inside with her foot as she looked around. It...it was huge in there! It seemed like the living room was larger than the entire house she lived in, let along the small room she had.
"Woah. It's HUGE in here!" she yelled, almost expecting an echo. When she realized she was a bit louder than she'd intended to be, she looked around to make sure she hadn't really disturbed anyone, preparing an apology if she had. "Oops," she whispered to herself.
