224 | The pavements carve a mosaic of different stones, aligned with pretty and colorful flower beds that seemed to have bloomed already. A spring breeze sways alongside the fragrant aroma. The clouds fly away under the sea blue skies. Spring is beautiful.
Peaceful, for once, here in Hosagai. Everyone is having a good time, enjoying they're own thing. And here stands Yuuno shivering of the slight chilly breeze despite wearing decent, casual clothes that not many has seen her laid-back with her wardrobe. Just a chance for her to relax and constantly play with her magic at the same time.
First of all - where to start? Her bag's got nothing related to what she can do, since it's food she bought after dropping by the shopping block. It's good, at least; She needs to replenish her energy then and now. Then she's still eager enough to tire herself out with her magic. If that was actually possible.
She crouched down, gently picking a snow white magnolia that glows a light golden yellow. Stood up with the flower under her nose, she raised it up as it magically bursts into countless of petals. And where's the flower now? Nowhere, but the stem's in tact. She rubs her palms against it, suddenly opening something like.. an umbrella. And another magic trick brought to you by Yuuno Sunomiya.

Oh girl, it's true I can never be away from you It's like you gloss your lips with glue Oh we kiss and I am ❖ ❖ ❖ s t u c k t o y o u ❖ ❖ ❖ It had been a while since Caia had the opportunity to get much fresh air since moving to Fukui. Or at least, it had been a while since she actually took the opportunity. The good thing about living on campus was that everything was there which meant she didn’t have the hassle of commuting. The bad thing was that it made her quite lazy. Caia wasn’t the type to get cabin fever, so she had gone days with seeing only minimal sunlight, but for her own health, she decided to go out for a walk today.
After stopping at a store some ways away from school, she decided to hang out at the park just across the street. Hosagai Park was a place that she had only heard about and saw in passing to go home to visit her parents. It was a beautiful place, in her opinion, especially on such a lovely day. It was a shame that she hadn’t come sooner.
Caia bit down into the top end of her Suika bar, which was the only thing she had gotten from the store before coming over. They were her favorite, and enjoying one in the park in this weather sounded heavenly to her. She strolled down the park’s path with a hand shoved into her pocket as she looked around, observing the many different people who had come out to enjoy the day as she did.
When her eyes fell upon a peculiar looking girl standing a short distance away from her, she stopped. The lavender haired girl stood out, needless to say, and on top of that she was doing something quite strange. Caia furrowed her eyebrows and squinted to get a good look at what she was doing, but even in her shameless staring, she couldn’t quite figure it out. Something with a flower… an exploding flower? Flower… petals… umbrella. What was even going on? She stood there, staring with dull eyes and her mouth agape. No one ever told her to expect such strange things at Hosagai.

292 | She closed the umbrella shut, grabbing it's tip with one hand, pushing it to shorten the umbrella's actual length. And with a wave of her palms over the small contraption, it suddenly became a magic wand. You know, the typical stick that every magician would use? It's base jet black with white on both edges, but not this wand. It was a custom color of purple, instead of a dull and boring black. She had never wanted to be part of some film noir that had no colors, other than black and white and grey, to ever begin with. And of course it took her a while to learn this trick, you never know how long it takes for someone to master such.. art. Speaking of which, she saw her own art in those pink-purple eyes. A girl, visually tanned, beautiful hair that is bound to be touched by anyone interested in doing so. If only Yuuno herself could touch it. Oh, wait - she can. Looking over to her, she smiled and snapped her fingers from afar, with not-so-subtle smoke to hide behind. She suddenly poofed right in front of the girl, poking her chin upwards with the wand, closing the mouth. "You'll catch a fly if you leave you mouth wide open~" She informed the girl, chuckling over her wonderful and magical delights. Maybe it was good to socialize another stranger. Maybe it was great. She took short notice on how she looked like close-up. Wow! She thought, stupidly amazed by noticing the girl's natural-looking demeanor only now. Moderately tanned skin, roughly similar to chocolate, and nice, short hair that seemed smooth in her eyes. She's not gonna lie, but this girl is really pretty, in her midst opinion of course. Oh girl, it's true I can never be away from you It's like you gloss your lips with glue Oh we kiss and I am ❖ ❖ ❖ s t u c k t o y o u ❖ ❖ ❖ Caia kept her eyes glued to the girl as she continued with whatever her trick was supposed to be. Or was it even a trick? She could very well have been hallucinating. After walking for so long and not even hydrating herself when she got the chance to, maybe she was seeing things. This notion seemed even more realistic once she watched as the girl disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
Just as she was about to turn her head, in search of any other person that may have seen what she had seen, she felt a light tap beneath her chin that forced her head to tilt back just a bit and her hair to fall from her eye slightly before her mouth was closed. Caia peered down to figure out the source of this sudden pressure. Of course. The flower girl again. So it wasn’t a hallucination after all, she thought. For a moment, she had no idea what to say to this girl. The way she had approached her as if she hadn’t just defied the laws of nature… It was like something out of a comic book.
She licked her lips and slowly nodded in reaction to what the girl had said. She had forgotten how evil nature could be, so that closing her mouth was probably a good idea while in a park. ”I can’t say that would be the weirdest thing to happen to me today if it did,” she stated before scoffing. The girl parted her lips, sticking the melty end of her ice cream into her mouth and taking a bite from it. She swallowed once the ice quickly melted inside of her mouth, and shifted her weight onto one leg. ”I’d say your little… performance, or whatever that was, would definitely take the cake in that category. No offense to you, Miss…?” She stared down at the girl, filling her mouth with another bite of the ice bar as she waited for her to fill in the blank and give her name.

322 | She chuckled, stuffing in her wand in a pocket. "Well, I suppose many people would highly doubt magic," she shrugged and honestly agreed to the girl's words. A lot of people wouldn't believe in things like these, and it's tough for someone like her who can't really tell if they believe in magic, or fantasy in general. This is why she's losing her pay after performing for people who don't like these. She had to get her few debts in and will get paid some day. Hopefully, to be exact; You can't do this with your gut instinct accordingly. It's simply a struggle for her.
Her eyes flickered, blink blink, as she saw the food on the girl's hands. She would drool over this, for sure, but she should snap out of her gluttonous dreams. She has her own food in her own bag, how could she not remember that!? That's a stupid and foolish magician for you, folks. It's not that she can't think logically, then again intellectually is a completely different story.
She shook her head, No! I shouldn't get distracted, nor.. hungry... she couldn't restrain herself looking over the sweet, heavenly food until she shook her head once more. "...Sunomiya! Yuuno Sunomiya." she blurted, awkwardly faking a laugh. "Call me Yuuna instead." Clearly, she didn't hear out the rest of the girl's sentence but miss? was the only thing that she can ever recall. She wouldn't dare to ask again, maybe the girl would repeat something.. bad, in a way. It was better for her to avoid anything else.
Speaking of which, she wanted to do something else. First, it would look like she would start to scratch the back of her head. But then hustling to pull something from it- a top hat, to be exact. She served the hat to this girl, eagerly inviting her into Yuuno's extravagant magic tricks. Wonder what she'll come up with now..

Oh girl, it's true I can never be away from you It's like you gloss your lips with glue Oh we kiss and I am ❖ ❖ ❖ s t u c k t o y o u ❖ ❖ ❖ Caia quirked her eyebrow while looking down at the girl. Magic? Well, that was an explanation for what her weird flower-umbrella stuff was about. This girl must have been some sort of street performing magician, she thought. That didn’t make the sight any less weird though. It was true that she didn’t believe in magic. She had her reasons to be skeptical, after all. But she wasn’t one for pointless conflict or debate, so even if this girl did believe in her own magic, she would accept that.
Caia simply nodded her head slowly, gathering her thoughts once she had her head wrapped completely around the bizarre idea of the girl being a magician. At least it was much more interesting than many of the girls she met at school on a daily basis. ”Yuuno Sunomiya, huh…?” She took another bite from the Suika bar and thought for a moment. Her name was simple enough to remember, even for someone as bad with Japanese names as she was. It had a funny ring to it.
She was quickly pulled from her thoughts on her new friend’s name when she noticed her pull a top ha from out of thin air. Of course, this wondrous sight took Caia back to her open-mouthed staring in awe. She gave a few confused blinks when the girl held the hat out to her. Was she supposed to be a part of this magic show now? Caia hadn’t even had the opportunity to look to see if anyone else was seeing all of this like she was, so she didn’t even know what to make of this encounter just yet. Even so, she removed her hand from her pocket and took hold of the hat, deciding to go along with it.
”Weird name for a weird girl, I guess.” Teasingly, she winked in a relaxed fashion at the girl, her lips fixed around the end of the ice bar as she slurped up what little was beginning to melt from it. ”I’m Caia Ocampo, by the way, Yuuna-chan.” She let out a soft chuckle, repeating the girl’s full name in her head a few times. Truly strange.

386 | All her hopes were down to the top hat, which she'll be glad enough if Caia accepts it. The way her excitement and adrenaline is pumping just for the acceptance. It's because she likes fun, and always enjoys it in any way possible. Here she simply stands, offering her hat for free. She wanted to jump in joy so they could get over it already. Come on, now!
Of course she wouldn't promptly ignore any of the girls words - even if one part sounded like a tease. A simple nod with her head for a sign she was listening to every word. Caia Ocampo, huh? Sounds native.. she was stuck in thought despite waiting for her to take the hat already. Her impatience is building up over the excitement. It feels kinda tense, if anyone mentions it, because it felt like forever for acceptance. As if she can hear the ticks and tocks of a clock passing by, ringing it's sound throughout her ears. It will eventually come out of the other ear like it was nothing to remember at all. Get the hat already.
Black leather, sparkling like a disco ball, with deep candy red cloth wrapped around to make it look distinct to other top hats out there. It's the typical hat for a not-so-typical magician, because she likes it that way. Others may see it simple or sometimes the way Yuuno sees it as well. It's perspective, and that's what she's playing around with - people's way of seeing her magic.
Finally, Caia accepted it. For a minute she was going to drop all her hyperactivity and go home for a nice slumber. Gently grabbing her wrist, Yuuno sticks the hand in the hat. If she were to pull it out, the were gum grasping Cai's hand real tight. Returning her hand in, the stretching the hat up to her shoulder. It was stretchy like a rubber band, and she let go of the hat and retracted to it's original size, stuck with the girl's hand forever.
There were swirls of confetti wrapped around the girl's hand that were a cute pink. Yuuno waved her palms over the arm that was swirled in pink, and magically, the confetti shaped in to her name: CAIA OCAMPO, that somehow fit into the arm. "Isn't it amazing~?"

Oh girl, it's true I can never be away from you It's like you gloss your lips with glue Oh we kiss and I am ❖ ❖ ❖ s t u c k t o y o u ❖ ❖ ❖ Caia furrowed her eyebrows, a bit put off by the girl’s sudden hat trick at first. Normally, she didn’t mind when people invaded her personal space. She was usually the one doing the invading anyway. But in this case, magic was always awkward and gave her a dreadful feeling of secondhand embarrassing. But again, she didn’t even know if anyone was watching, so she let it go pretty quickly. Her eyes were still too focused on what Yuuno was doing, and having a cute girl invading her personal space rather than some creepy man in face paint definitely helped the situation.
She flinched upon the hat snapping back to its regular form, her body tense as she watched cautiously. Everything was happening so quickly that she could barely keep up with Yuuno’s motions. Nothing the girl was doing made any sense to her in her head, and the more she saw of the act, the less anything was adding up. Was this some type of spell? Whatever it was, it was seeming to be a lot weirder than the crazy umbrella trick she had witness earlier, and having her hand in the hat felt like she had come close to being sucked into another dimension. Caia squinted her eyes, trying to keep from blinking as the swirl of pink confetti surrounded her arm. When the girl waved her hand and caused the extra to disperse, she could see her name clearly spelled out.
Caia mouthed the words as she read it silently, and then she blinked once she realized what it said. Well that was a lot more pleasant than it felt like it was going to be. ”Oh? Nice.” She tilted her head slightly and stared down at the pink markings, unfortunately with her regular neutral expression. She wasn’t one to be very enthusiastic to begin with, and at the same time, she never let go of the idea that there was always some smoke and mirrors behind a magic trick to explain it.
She glanced up from her arm to look at the magician girl, flashing a small smile. ”It’s pretty cool, I suppose. I can’t say that I have any experience with magic quite like this, but I also can’t say that I’ve run into many magicians in my time.” Her eyes closed as her smile turned sheepish.

426 | She took her hat back and topped it off on her head. A quick flash of her smile, she constantly chuckled. It was fun to surprise anyone anonymously, even if she didn't have the chance to get their name. She is open to clearly anyone anytime, that excludes when she's asleep, of course. Their is a different story for both her career and sleeping, which composes the whole song of her life. It's the simplicity that matters, which where she puts a basis on to her magic tricks.
"I know, right?" she had to relate. Discovering magic at a late age, it was still very amusing to her. And she wants to show it to the world, maybe starting off with Caia. Her face slowly scrunched up to a slight frown, seeing her unsatisfied. It must be a tough client, this girl right here. But she'll never give up, not now. At least they're friends, in a sense, but they're not connected in forms of her magic.
She socializes people, usually with her magic. It's not hard to do without it, anyway, since she's charismatic. She has the guts to confront anyone even down to the roughest ones. It's her recklessness that brought her here, to this career - no more, no less. If we were to go down to specifics, there won't be much to say. It's a stupid decision anyway.
Her hands slowly touch Caia's shoulder, where the 'fake tattoo' was. She caressed the arm, slowly as Yuuno holds her hand. Letting them go, she clenches her fist, struggling to open it, as there were pink gum sticking on to her palms. She closes her hand once more, opens them at ease, with a small pack of gum resting there. "Want some? No?" she hurriedly opened the gum and chewed it, sweet strawberry flavor all around. Attempting to blow a big bubble, she somewhat bites it midway as it floats in mid-air. It's literally a bubble. Of gum.
Yuuno's finger popped the gum, revealing another, actual bubble smaller in size. She catches it, squishing it to a small size. Once revealed, it's visually a small pearl. She pulls it as it clones to a small necklace, and shows it off on Caia.
"Hm. True, true. It's hard to come across magicians and their magic alone.." she agreed, keeping the new necklace to herself. "..Especially when you're in Fukui.. it was like I'm the oddball for getting in because of my magic." confessing, since probably she just encountered Caia who possibly came from another school? Probably.

Oh girl, it's true I can never be away from you It's like you gloss your lips with glue Oh we kiss and I am ❖ ❖ ❖ s t u c k t o y o u ❖ ❖ ❖ The dark-skinned girl kept her eyes peeled as she watched her new friend move forward with her tricks. Her gaze fell to the girl’s hand as she reached out and touched her shoulder. Street magicians were quite bold, she thought, especially this girl with the way she was touching a stranger so carelessly. Even for the sake of performing.
And then, gum. Once again, Caia furrowed her eyebrows. She was sure that everything the girl was pulling off had to be illusions. That’s always explained it, whether she immediately understood how they worked or not. Her skepticism wouldn’t let her accept any other ideas, even if the girl insisted that it was real magic, or that any magic was really quite honestly.
Caia shook her head briefly in response to the offering of gum. Magic gum, or even illusion gum didn’t sound like something she wanted to put in her mouth. Plus she still had a melty ice bar to finish. She shoved the Suika bar into her mouth, pressing her lips around the popsicle stick and pulling it out. The cold temperature of the last bite caused her to wince a bit, but she quickly swallowed it. Worth it, so she wouldn’t be holding a puddle of melted ice cream.
She perked up and focused on Yuuno once again when she heard Fukui mentioned. ”You go to Fukui?” She stared at the girl, not too harshly, but still skeptical. Magic didn’t seem like the kind of thing someone would get into Fukui for. It was an art school, after all. But maybe magic could be considered performance art. She didn’t know. That wasn’t her thing. She shrugged her questions off. Judging by how odd many of her teachers and even the principal was it shouldn’t have been that surprising that a magician was accepted. And maybe Yuuno was just that good to people who liked magic.
”Hm. I’ve never seen you around in the halls, but honestly, I don’t pay too much attention to people, and I don’t think I would have run into any magicians. I’m a music student. Violin.” She smiled sheepishly, trying her best not to sound offensive.

WORDS? Dunno.
| Surprised in thought, eyebrows slightly arched as she instantly assumed Caia was also from Fukui. And here she thought that the girl wasn't from the same school, but had no arguments with that nonetheless. She wouldn't be one to question how many students there are that come from abroad asides Japan, nor be one to object all the realities laid in front of her, since it's reality, not magic. Magic and reality come from different sides with their own story, it's just that magic can still catch up with today's undeniable reality. Which is why she'd stay as a magician of her own.
She shook her head. No, this isn't time to think if she were to abide by what this girl had to say or not. "Yeah! Didn't I say so?" she was confirming her last words that may have entered Caia's ear and out from the other. Probably not deaf, probably she's forgetful. How about, Yuuno should just forget the fact that they're both from Fukui High.
And here she goes again - simply repeating her words to confirm that she's correct. One more time, magicians are indeed hard to come across. Still, especially when you're in Fukui. "Like I said, people like me are hard to encounter these days. Especially the small amount of escapists. Just realists here. Juuuust realists..." she had this one a little too exaggerated. The 4th year herself wouldn't assure if 3/4s of the society were realists and the small 1/4s were escapists. Then again it can be fairly possible due to someone like Cai is supposedly not one to be astonished by magic and all the fantasy jazz. It's a 50:50 that she's correct. But that wouldn't go in her complaints this time. And never it will be.
"Ooh! Violin? Sounds snazzy. For someone native like you are, I am impressed that you play that instrument." Giving out a subtle applause with her light clapping as she was astonished by the girl's talent in return for her magic. As she clapped, her hands were closed, soon opening to have a violin in between her palms. Somehow, this one is real, to the very least. She held the violin to prove that this trick right here is something high-end as a magician like her. "You mean this violin? I couldn't imagine how you can be skilled at this baby." although she didn't intend to put it as a compliment, she wouldn't put it as an insult either. "Hey-- how about you play something for me? Y'know, amaze me with your musical gift?" Finally, this one sounded more of a compliment. Not that she was envious, just enthralled by everything unusual. Surely Caia will play one little piece, with a cherry on top perhaps? Yuuno hopes so.

Oh girl, it's true I can never be away from you It's like you gloss your lips with glue Oh we kiss and I am ❖ ❖ ❖ s t u c k t o y o u ❖ ❖ ❖ Once again, Caia was surprised by the other girl’s swift movements, although she failed to express it outwardly. She simply stared, raising her eyebrows as the violin appeared in between the Yuuna’s hands. She hadn’t really expected to be putting on a performance in the park, especially since she didn’t expect to meet a magician that would pull a violin out of thin air. Attention wasn’t really her thing either. She felt as though she got enough attention just based on her looks. But oh well, she thought. It was the least she could do after Yuuna had performed magic for her. ”Alright. As you wish.” she said, giving a slight nod of her head with the popsicle stick tucked in between her lips and agreeing to Yuuno’s request. She reached out and took a hold of the violin and bow, being sure to examine it closely. It seemed pretty worn, so there was no telling where he girl had gotten it from. It was probably a prop, she thought, but that didn’t matter. She would be able to make it work. As long as the strings and bow were in good condition, and the body was not damaged, she would be able to play a bit. After checking to be sure that the violin was in good working condition, tuning the strings and such, Caia tucked the chin rest of the violin beneath her chin. Her fingers positioned around the neck of it, and soon she began to play the first violin portion of one of a song she usually played for curious strangers. It was a simple but sweet melody that usually impressed people, especially those who were not familiar with anything related to the violin. Not to mention, it was pretty easy for Caia to execute perfectly at her skill level. As she played, she kept her soft gaze glued on the violin, her eyes trailing along the neck and the body of the instrument to keep her motions in check. They drifted closed briefly every now and then throughout her playing the piece, a sign of her enjoying the sounds she created, but she remained focused. Her body swayed slightly with the music and as the portion she played came to a close, her bow crept over the fingerboard, giving the final note a soft, whispery sound near the end. Once she was done, her gaze lifted from the violin and she looked up at the girl for a response. ”So…?”

idk idc
| How lucky of her to get a quick peek at how Caia can be so skilled in playing the violin. Though many other people have heard her as well, she'd consider this at hand.
She was really excited to see how it sounds like. Probably professional, if the girl would say her talent coolly. That was all that she can assume - since she's terrible at assumptions anyway. It would've all gone down to what she plays, from something advanced or to something basic. Sure enough it would be something unexpected to Yuuno, since she doesn't listen to music frequently at any time possible.
Just when the dark-skinned girl started, it was as if butterflies were storming her stomach and her heart fluttering away by the sweet melody from the violin, simply put, she was amazed by the music. It was just simple, maybe fit for someone who was curious to know that girl's skill, but the way she played it really took Yuuno's heart away. She couldn't make any tricks up her sleeve once hearing Caia play. She just can't. She was stuck in a trance. The music was magic to her, as it reels her in with the majestic sound. "This girl, is truly magical." she thought. It can't be helped. She adored the way the music was played. It sounded professional, moreover cool. It was really lucky of her to meet some violinist who also happens to study at Fukui High. Totally lucky.
It took her a a minute or two to snap back into reality, but who would want to leave the enjoyable sound of music, especially this girl's music? Probably not, but she wouldn't want to look weird with blank eyes that told everything in amusement, so she had to shake her head constantly. "A---I, uh..." Though she had just recovered from the trance, her eyes were rather bland. The same magenta-and-purple color was still there, but not the star that twinkles in between. It was dull and just a gradient with a hot pink and a deep purple. She kept shifting her eyes back and forth, but finally kept her consciousness. "It's.....wonderful!" she said, holding the girl's hands, but still with her really-bland-eyes-that-have-nothing-unique-anymore.

Oh girl, it's true I can never be away from you It's like you gloss your lips with glue Oh we kiss and I am ❖ ❖ ❖ s t u c k t o y o u ❖ ❖ ❖ Caia smiled warmly in response to the mesmerized look on Yuuno’s face, as well as the compliment that followed her performance. Usually she didn’t care too much if strangers liked what she played, although they usually did anyway. It was different with Yuuno though. They hadn’t known each other for long, but knowing her as a performer and a fellow student at Fukui made her respect the girl and her opinion more than she would with any other stranger. With her hands cupped loosely in between the other girl’s, she was sure to keep a decent hold on the violin and bow. A few people hanging out in the park had started to focus their attention on the two of them, but upon realizing that they weren’t some sort of park duo, the people started to disperse.
It had been a while since she had actually played for anyone, excluding her family and her tutor, so she wasn’t sure how her little performance would go before she started, but she was happy to see that it went well. Everything went perfectly, and although no one would have noticed if she made a mistake, she was satisfied with the way the performance went. And although Caia’s music was usually something for herself, mostly, it never hurt to impress a cute girl with her skills. Yuuno’s reaction made it worth the energy.
Caia let out a soft laugh and humbly nodded her head in Yuuna’s direction. ”I’m glad you enjoyed it.” She slipped her hands from in between her new friend’s, attaching the violin bow to the violin before handing it over. ”Since you’re at Fukui, I’m assuming it won’t be the last time you’ll hear me play though. I also play the bass guitar, in case you’re interested in hearing me play that too someday. Buuut, try not to fall in love too quickly.” She shoved her free hand into her pocket and chuckled.

MAKE LOVE TO THE MAGICIAN CAIA MAKE LOVE TO HER #GO 4 IT
| "That. Was. MAGICAL."
The only words that had revolved around her thoughts stayed put for the meanwhile. She wouldn't have thought it in the first place that Caia was amazing at her skill level. She wouldn't have expected the piece the girl played was this simple, but this wonderful at the same time. Neither would she predict this at a small amount of time, but all that she could confirm that the Caia Ocampo was skilled at her talent. She would be happy to prepare a whole dictionary to find a million adjectives to describe her performance, but nonetheless it was brief of her to cut it short with a small compliment. Small words with a small meaning, maybe the opposite perhaps? It just didn't mean small. It meant big, big-time. Nothing was better than cutting yourself short with a big and meaningful compliment. That was all.
It's like she hasn't adored something for quite a while now. Usually she do a self-compliment to her own ridiculous tricks that all fit in her sleeves somehow, but today she gets to give away her honest compliments to others asides herself. It was to release herself from doing lonely monologue and get a bit more extroverted especially to those at Fukui.
