No man is an island, entire of itself, and despite her skills there are things that Yumeko knows she cannot do on her own, leaving her at odds between learning how to fend for herself along side how to trust others. |
FRIENDS Yumeko is slow to trust, but those she trusts, she trusts immensely. She gets along well with courteous personalities that respect her space, though more energetic people are okay as long as she's not being dragged around. She actually likes listening to people's stories most of the time, and does enjoy a respectful intellectual debate. With friends, she'll most readily allow them to help her and doesn't mind physical contact. ENEMIES Unfortunately, because of Yumeko's tendency to distrust people who approach her sometimes, it is rather easy for her to dislike someone and she can hold a grudge for a while. Prideful, arrogant, and nosy personalities easily tick her off. Asking about her blindness tends to be a sore spot, especially if it's the first thing she hears. She dislikes coddling very much. Polite avoidance is the most common form of interaction with those she dislikes, but in situations where it's either necessary for her safety (or where she can get away with it), Yumeko is not afraid to use her cane as a weapon. LOVERS For the most part, Yumeko isn't actively looking for someone and has no experience in being in a relationship. Despite viewing certain aspects of "love" as foolish fantasy, she isn't opposed to being in a relationship should she find herself in one. In terms of preference, her two main requirements is that she must keep up with her mind and keep up with her condition. She is however afraid of how her blindness may affect any potential partner; while she tries her best to be independent, she knows and detests how she may need the help of another and worried about being able to care for her partner. PHARAOH LEAP.

friendship
Heya! So I was thinking that Hara might at first not really notice that Yumeko is blind, which could lead to some misunderstandings. Being very courteous and polite, Hara would be quite intent on helping out Yumeko however she could. She might even see Yumeko's lack of trust as a challenge to prove herself trustworthy. Depending on how badly Hara screws up the first meeting I could see these two being decently good friends. [/div]

Yumeko is a challenge, indeed, but don't worry, she's not too flighty. You're more at risk of being pushed a bit by the cane. Yumeko does have trouble dealing with anyone outside her family, though as long as a person isn't pushy or insistent on helping she'll get along. She likes listening to people's stories though.
She does frequent the Music and Theatre building a bit, so there's plenty of chances to cross paths there. If Hara visits the library, Yumeko will often be there too. (She may need help reaching the shelves.) Else, she'll wander the school grounds and Hosogai Park. It's a tad limiting, though feel free to suggest any place they can meet!

Hehehe.. Hara getting pushed by the cane could be fun - she'd wonder if she did something wrong, then overcorrect her perceived slight. Pushy and insistent on helping is something that Hara definitely does sometimes, but I think she'd learn quickly to respect Yumeko's independence. Maybe even intervene when someone else tries to push for helping her over-much. Hara's got plenty of stories to tell as well - many embellished with romantic detail.
Hara does certainly visit the library, since she's often looking for some sort of inspiration for various things. Being fairly tall she's used to helping others reach high spots, so she'd be quite eager to assist Yumeko in getting a book that's out of reach. From there... well the first things Hara would do would be a) compliment her in a princely manner and b) ask about what Yumeko's reading .

Very well then. Yumeko took a bit of a tumble last time she tried to grab a book a bit beyond her reach. Perhaps this time, a charming prince may come along should she ask for help?
I can only get about a post a day due to my schedule not can I guarantee a post tonight. I'll work on Mashiro's first unless you don't like the idea I set out for her (the "ghost" of the piano).

So, we have a blind novelist and a near mute composer (who, if it weren't for her acquired disability, would be a singer). Deidre is suffering HARD right now due to suffering from her hard worked towards crushed dreams essentially being crushed by a quirk of fate.
Yumeko being born blind, she might not get what it's like to lose an ability like speaking, but she'd still know what it's like to not have that sort of ability, and Deidre would probably find it a bit easier to open up to Yumeko about her issues. Needless to say, shared experience could lead to completely adorable moments.
