Friends Friendship is a big priority for Yuu. She's had some here and there, but never any that really understood much of what she liked to go on about. It left her feeling stifled, repressed. She wants people that she can speak freely around and enjoy quality time with. She's friendly with pretty much everyone she comes across in any case - no reason to do wrong by people that haven't done the same to her. Enemies But those that have done Yuu wrong often find that the little fireball is quite the vindictive sort. It takes a lot to actually push her beyond dislike to actively seeking vengeance, but it's a line that is very difficult to come back from once crossed. Regularly bullying her over her height, giving the people she cares about grief and generally being an awful person ought to do it. Lovers Yuu loves to talk relationships and love. That being said, she herself has never known that feeling. She's never experienced the sensation of her heart aching for another's presence, or her thoughts being consumed with their voice, and their face. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't interested, but with such a lack of experience, she doesn't even have any idea what her type is.

I have two people you could plot with.

Deidre is a cute composer freshman who... is pretty kuudere. She's mostly mute, though she can speak short sentences without problem. She's got a cool demeanor, but she's not a jerk.

Sophie is an actress who has a mild knight obsession. She's not a fireball herself, but she's pretty upbeat and might have enough energy to keep up. She's got a pretty wide variety of interests.

Either of them sound interesting to you?

Diedre sounds like a really fun contrast to Yuu, they'd be pretty interesting to play off of each other, I think. Red oni, blue oni dynamic, or something like that.

I have three students, though at the moment there's a bit of imbalance in the number of active threads they have, so in order of who needs threads:

Mashiro - Another white-haired girl to throw at you, also a 1st year composer interested in neo-classical and minimalism. She's a little shy, but is otherwise amicable so long as certain buttons aren't pressed. She can ignore problematic personalities...to a point; it's a skill she learned from working in her family's shop. Problem is, she can snap hard, though she hasn't had to yet.

She tends to spend a lot of afternoons in the Music Building. There's a storeroom on the 3rd floor, western hallway, with a grand piano that she maintains and plays on. Otherwise, she'll be having concerts in Hosagai Park. She'll sometimes browse the shops for candy.

Yumeko - A first year novelist with a bit of a curveball: she's blind. She's a little easy to agitate and can be really touchy when it comes to her abilities, or lack thereof. She's also on the short end, though still taller than Yuu. She can come off as a bit formal, but she's far more relaxed when she drops her guard. Which can take a while.

She does most of her world in a small secluded lounge in the Music Building when she doesn't need to be in the main Library. Her favorite haunt outside campus is the Penguin Cafe in the city.

Misha - Third year culinary arts student. Much more jovial and outgoing, with a somewhat regal and exotic air about her. Good if you need to ask for help, but be way of a rather strong sense of duty and justice.

She'll be in the culinary arts building most of the time, but checks in on Mashiro and Yumeko every now and then in the Music Building. She has a good relationship with many of the shopkeepers in the city and can be seen talking to them often. Otherwise, she'll wander the city and parks.

Of course, my fourth is Estelle, the school nurse, if you want to do one with staff.

Both sound fun. Any preference?

Oh, and I also have Ran Nakano, a writing teacher of the 'let me solve your life's problems' vein.

CURRENTLY PLOTTING FOR

Yuu h. & SAE M.

EDM lover and dancer seems like a perfect combination for music-related shenanigans. Yuu is an adorable (smol) character, and going through her app I see that Sae has quite a bit in common with her. Also, the height difference of 11-12 inches is a hilarious angle I think we can work with in some threads. We're gonna built stilts.

I have a few ideas right now- mostly surrounding a friendship between the two, but also a funny competition thing going on, because I love making my characters the butts of jokes.

FRIENDSHIP ▶ They share a hatred of silence, love spicy food, work with music in their majors, and are generally passionate, friendly people that want to be a part of as many things as possible, but in their eagerness can seem quite off-putting to other people. It may take some building up because of the difference in personalities, but their interests could lead to them being good friends.

A thread idea I've been working on for after they become acquaintances is Sae taking Yuu's EDM and playing it loud over the PA system. It'll get them both in trouble, but then they can pull a Mission Impossible to escape. It occurs to me I have outlandish ideas.

COMPETITION ▶ I don't think they would clash in any particularly negative way, but Yuu's skill in rhythm games gives me some ideas. Sae's not particularly good at them, but can't resist a contest (even if it is a contest she will always lose). The thought of her lamenting the loss of her "senpai cred" to Yuu- and Yuu being the more logical one in their dynamic- could lead to some good threads that play around their age difference. A bit like a slapstick duo.

ROUGH START ▶ Maybe a rocky start to a friendship could work with these two, given their height difference and Sae's love for crippling hugs. She would likely find it hard to resist just picking Yuu up and carrying her around- she's kind of dense and ignorant of social conventions like that. Not entirely sure how it would go, but let me know how it sounds to you!
